The S is better in many ways. Sony fanboys with a need to drag Microsoft down have either no integrity or idea what they're talking about. If you want to understand the difference ho to the forums on beyond 3d or someplace where developers post. Don't listen to sheep or uneducated fanboys. As the generation moves on the Series S will prove itself.
ExBee you'd be making a huge mistake. There are abilities in the RDNA 2 architecture that the Scorpion engine doesn't have. Don't make the mistake of thinking launch games tell the whole story. Machine learning, variable rate shading and several other features make the Series S far better than the One X.
But teh, teh exclusives.
I'm already laughing out loud at the people who think they make their own decisions. Talking about what they do and don't want. I know Steve Jobs was right. People want what they're told to want. They didn't want always on, no complaints now. Didn't want digital games, over half of sales are digital. You guys are always talking about what you don't want or will do and the second Sony pushes it you want it. You hated huge consoles. Now you are willing to play on the big...
Demand is an estimate. Remember when PS4 launched and everyone had visions of ps2 level sales but then reality kicked in and 8 years later we're nowhere near ps2 numbers? You also have to remember Microsoft is making a killing on other weapons.
It's the ecosystem, stupid.
But that's where you're wrong. You explain why it works but you think about it wrong. Because you're paying $30 for two games you feel it's a bargain. A lot of people will think of it that way. People who would never have spent $60-70. Or Australian prices. It's such a bargain that a lot more people try it for two months. Offer enough bargains and you have a steady 20-25 million subscribers. You're now making 300+ million a month. That easily pays for all of your exclu...
Take two is an exception. But most games don't sell 30 million copies. The vast majority don't sell 2 million copies. Those games are fine on subscriptions. But if you have a subscription service you can do huge business with enough studios and features. It's better to have an ecosystem than a stand alone game. Someone gets Game Pass for a game, but they stay for xCloud. Or EA. Or the exclusive coming in two months. Once you add AAA titles the subscriptions pay for the developer ...
It's sold out. You have to wait.
Shortest article ever.
@Lore
Godfall is on PC. It's not exclusive at all. Timed or otherwise.
Unfortunately. And unfortunately governments like Australia give their support to our corrupt imperialists government whenever they tell them to. I wish Australia's government would see mine for what it is and I wish our citizens would too instead of willing choosing the evil every couple of years. The world would be a better place if we got rid of our fake two parties and did a complete reset.
And come on, you can do better than the pedophilia thing for Biden. He may ...
@Ron_Safe
It's safe to say all PS5 talk is about old games too. The only games Sony fanboys keep going on about are two exclusives. Demon Souls, a remake you're buying a full priced upgrade for instead of getting an instant BC upgrade with. And spiderman, a full priced 6 hour add on. Unless you're going to bring up the full priced FF7 remake. See, old games.
Uh oh. Somebody believes the locations traveled in a virtual world are real locations and distances instead of different code. Hmmm. And 23 eager beaver do too.
A government that runs to war every time Daddy America tells it to has "standards" on video games? What a joke government.
If the games are low resolution why would you need an additional ssd? If you take resolution into account the S has more space than the ps5. Why aren't you adding that $200+ dollars to PlayStation?
Because the reality is you can still store probably 10 games on the space, more on the S. Everything else can be quickly transferred from another drive in a few minutes.
Stop your fake whining.
People go crazy over early games as if they are any indication of what a machine is capable of. We know developers got the dev kits late also. 4.2 teraflops of RDNA 2 should be capable of 1440p with no problem. Stop being fanboys jumping at every chance to make Microsoft look bad because you end up making yourselves look uninformed.
Oh, God. Another sheep who thinks everything is a trigger now. Were you triggered when you commented on 5 or 6 people's post?
Dude you don't even know what Cerny said in the Road to the PS5 talk. He even has it as a slide caption. The PS5 runs in continuous boost mode is plastered across the screen. And obviously you don't know this but physics are the reason for the additional heat. It's always been this way. Maybe you've noticed the more powerful a GPU...
So S2 I into add ons and remakes. Mediums new game and there are a ton of Series X games that will have better graphics.
@IRetrouk
I've owned several consoles in my lifetime. I've never opened one to clean it. Most weren't designed for you to do that. In fact they voided your warranty for opening it in most cases. So why the sudden change? The change occurred because this time, for that particular console, it will be necessary. That's why it's done in a way that doesn't void your warranty. Microsoft has said nothing about the need to clean the Series X. Just like it wa...
Microsoft hasn't come out and said it's necessary to clean your Series X. This guy assumed because Sony tells you how and has made it easy for you that the Xbox requires it too. The PS5 runs in boost mode always. That requires consistent temperatures. The Xbox is running at a basic clock speed for RDNA 2. Making sure it stays clean is probably not as important since it likely won't overheat except in worst case scenarios.
Sony can't take them enough to complain. Good for you Sony. Fleece em.
