You’re not understanding at all. On Xbox One Slim, Doom 64 runs at 1440p natively. No internal rendering being downsampled or anything. It is straight 1440p on the slim Xbox. THAT is an achievement regardless of how old the game is. Did not think the One S was capable of rendering past 1080p for games.

It’s a good game. You’re always complaining when franchises aren’t exactly the same so your opinion is irrelevant. Taking risks with IP’s and making changes to established properties is a good thing. It’s why I’m so excited for Yakuza 7. Yes, I love Yakuza but if 7 was just another Yakuza with a different protagonists and similar combat, that’d just be boring. RE 5 is a very good game. Who gives a damn if it’s “not an RE game”. Hasn’t stopped me from playing it over 30 times across the years....

RE 5 is an amazing game. It’s a good co-op game and a pretty gripping action game that’s MADE for speed runners

Digital Foundry and VG Tech already confirmed FF 7 is 1620p. Not native 4K. Not checkerboard 4K. Just 1620p based on the demo’s testing

Can confirm after playing it now the box does have the Pro Enhanced logo and it looks SO MUCH sharper and better than vanilla P5. It looks how the game should have looked at launch

“In 4k”

It’s only 1440p in Pro. Sure, a jump but hardly close enough to a full 2160p pixel grid to even be called 4K.

Nobody with a brain thinks 1TB on series X is the actual usable space. We all know it’ll be lower because of the OS. The problem with Sony’s is that it’s 825GB on TOP of storage taken up by OS. Actual usable space will be much less than Series X out of the box

2195d ago 4 agree5 disagreeView comment

I highly doubt that’s it. In the past, Sony has never stated storage space in that way. We know 1TB won’t actually be a TB because of reserved space for OS, but I’m almost definitely sure considering the blazing speed of Sony’s SSD, the storage had to be a compromise so I’m sure it’s 825GB like they said with additional storage taken up by OS so actual usable space will be around 700GB.

...if this gen is anything to go by, you’ll still install the entire game data on the drive regardless of if it’s physical or digital

It’s probably just a typical game journalist that isn’t tech savvy. They not only advertised PS4 Pro enhancements, which the vanilla release lacked. They also advertised improved visuals on base Ps4.

Both are Zen 2 8-core processors with 16 cores of hyperthreading. PS5 capped at 3.5 GHz. Series X is 3.8 GHz so yes, the Series X CPU IS better...

Remember it’s 1800p STREAMED so it will not match Xbox One X image quality. Can almost guarantee that.

It’s not going to be 1080p 60fps. It’ll be similar to RE 2, running at 1080p but with an uncapped framerate that’s really more in the region of 40-ish fps with only the Pro and X handing in a 60FPS update.

I just beat it and turns out the 3D model viewer is native 4K or at least it looks like it so I guess that’s how they got away with putting “4K Ultra HD” on the box 🤣🤣🤣

Yes Bayonetta is is 60fps through back compat already, but it’s still only rendering at 720p compared to 1440p, which while a disappointing resolution is STILL 4 TIMES the pixel count.

2232d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yes, this release is disappointing but Bayonetta is 4 times its 360 resolution and more so with vanquish which ran below 720p.

As for Vanquish framerate, the back compat version is capped at 30fps, but it’s 60 FPS in this remaster with the X holding the locked 60.

So you can say all you want about how you’ll stick to the old versions, but this new release is still better than any previous console iterations

It’s advertised as 4K and the Xbox store listing and box has the “4K Ultra HD” logo, which is reserved only for native 4K games, games with dynamic resolution up to 4K, or games that use reconstruction to achieve 4K.

But nope. Bayonetta and Vanquish are neither of those. They’re just a straight 1440p on Pro and X. Such a wasted opportunity for such beloved games.

All you need to know is it’s only 1440p on the enhanced consoles so it’s a pretty disappointing release for the premium user

If you’re playing on Pro, these games are more impressive than Kiwami 1 because the first Kiwami never got a Pro patch but all 3 games in this collection do so they look sharp as heck, but I mean I guess this reviewer wants to ignore that

Have you never heard of games being remembered more fondly after release? It happens all the time in film, with Stanley Kubrik’s films chief among them
