The framerate is awful on PS4, Xbox One, and PS4 Pro. The Xbox One X is the only console version based on DF’s testing that provides a reasonable experience.
that article is dated November 2nd, 2015. Talk about "shows how much you know"....
it's $30 and it's a game pass game.
It’s better written than any of the other Tomb Raider games, though
If it’s choppy and buggy on more powerful consoles, what makes you think that won’t be exascerbated by being on a weaker system
again, the game gives you more than enough time. There are other time-restrictive games that actually force you to micromanage carefully to make sure you can even complete the main story. I remember barely getting by the main story of one of the Atelier games. With this, I had 5 whole days left over JUST to do side quests. There some annoying side quests and canvas of prayer missions that are more bothersome than they're worth, but if I care enough to actively seek them out and the item d...
The game gives you enough time to do everything. I completed all 5 main quests with 5 days left on the clock.
@bennihop. That’s a very rare occurrence. Taking the .01% low as the rule. It is the exception. The vast majority. Over 95% of the game is 57-60 FPS. I’ll take the massive 4x’s resolution boost with more drops that are that insignificant and that infrequent over a quarter of the resolution with a framerate that still isn’t 100% locked.
It looks great at native 4K. Unfortunately, the PS4 Pro version still only turns in a 1080p pixel count so I went with X. On Pro, it uses some sort of temporal upscaling to give the impression of a higher resolution, but according to Digital Foundry, it still resolves a 1080p pixel count with image quality that’s barely better than standard PS4. The moment I heard X version was native 4K, I bought it immediately
I’ve played all 3. Rage 2 is the best game of the entire bunch by a signficant margin. The combat is incredibly satisfying.
If a game is bad, you write a negative review. That’s all there is to it. If you’re more concerned about the publisher relationship or the effect it’ll have on sales, then you can’t be trusted as a reviewer.
Also @343 the One X is 60fps, which is a nice bonus, but it’s nowhere near native 4K. It renders at just 1080p which is disappointing. It’s a ps2 game. The X could handle it, but considering FF12, a 30fps ps2 game, was only 1440p on Pro, I’m also not completely surprised. This porting studio is kind of half-assed
@raz the One X version is 60fps. Not base Xbox One. Or any console for that matter
...the Xbox One version has the same new features as the switch version, which includes respeccing characters. Try again😘
The Xbox One x version is the only console version to run at 60fps, though, so I’d say that’s the best version 😏😏😏
The reason this is news is because there was conflicting information regarding whether it was Xbox One X enhanced or not. Obviously the X can do 4K for a ps2 game. Even the pro can. The thing was whether the developers put in the effort to make it so. For example, FF12 only runs at 1440p on the PS4 Pro. It’s a 30fps ps2 game. Even the Pro could do it at 4K, yet they stopped at 1440p and called it a day. Just because a system can do something, that doesn’t mean the developer makes use of that ...
MGR didn’t exactly have a lot of polish. Took just over a year to make and has inconsistent performance on last gen consoles. The only consistent 60fps You’ll get on that game on a console (it did come out on PC) is on Xbox One X through backwards compatibility. Otherwise, it’s wildly inconsistent. Base Xbox One is a bit better, though still sub 60 a good amount of the time.
So just because you haven’t experienced any bugs yet...you won’t download a patch that fixes bugs you could potentially run into? What
I bought it physically too, but every fighter was still a separate install....only 4 fighters were on the disc.
This reviewer is a prude “creepy”, “NSFW” and “oversexualized” are among the listed cons. Along with the review text saying that it goes over the line with the sex.
What a child. Can’t handle sexual content in your video games? Can’t handle “adult” games?
