Well, there is the phenomena where MS and Nintendo can sell their products based on hype and advertising alone. Sony can not, and need to work a lot harder to sell their merchandise, especiall in the U.S. MS and Nintendo know their hardware will sell regardless of what software is behind it, so that's what they're focusing on (Wii, Kinect).
I wish Nintendo looked for more hardcore titles to make, and I wish MS didn't abandon their core audience for more casual ga...
"im just glad that poor people are going to enjoy good games and have a better day."
Ah, so your argument is that poor people should be able to pirate games? Unless I misunderstood what you were saying, then let me argue this point. So a "poor person," as you put it, can pirate games. How did they afford that ps3 or 360 they're playing on, which costs more than a few games? What about a car, shouldn't poor people be able to enjoy a nice and expensi...
Now this is my kind of hacker. Says he has a hack, but doesn't release it to the public. Good job, now keep it that way. The minute he releases any information about this hack online, I'm all for Sony busting down his door and throwing his ass in jail. Until then ... nice coding skills, I guess?
@Megaton
Yeah, but that's the point. They can use his SSN, but they're probably all in jail right now, or facing serious fines. The point is to catch them and stop them, but they have to do something illegal first.
You mean another Battlefield: Earth? Ugh
Very true. Let's see a tech demo actually ON the ps3 and the 360 before we pass judgment on this tech. But it does look great.
This is true, it apparently does work well. I can't speak for the sharpshooter, but my brother and I play online, and he has a move on his ps3 and I don't; he consistently (meaning 80-90% of the time) has a better score than I do. And this is without him tweaking his settings.
Are you f*in kidding? Free Radical made the multiplayer on crysis 2? Who's messed up idea was that?! Crysis is such a game, that I would be like, "No one else is touching my game," if I was the developer. Jeez, no wonder it has issues.
I'm one of the people who loved the original crysis, and I'm sure the single player in crysis 2 will be fine ... but I tried the multiplayer demo of the game and boy are there issues. Never mind the fact that there's no servers in the US (maybe 8 or so out of the 2000 found, with a max of 12 players per). There are connection issues and gameplay issues abound. I usually don't whine about connection issues because I can usually find a way around them, but the gameplay is someth...
I think he gets off on it. I can see him jackin' it to all the angry and disappointed posts.
PS: (*sorry for that picture*)
Back on topic: Are you f*in kidding?! This is the big news? Is it just me, or is something really wrong with Microsoft recently? It's not enough they're fine sitting back and letting Sony and Nintendo come out with new hardware and features, but then they have to hype up new info just to have it be something like this? Serio...
Or maybe he'll admit something's wrong when Activision dies. "I might have made a mistake..."
Multiplayer co-op online and offline, with move support, 3D, native 1080p, sharpshooter compatible, 60fps, ...
Sorry, I was daydreaming there.
3d is the 3DS's gimmick, no question. If you take it out, you have to wonder what you're paying for. And all the systems you mentioned, of course, are from Nintendo. They are the only ones who can get away with releasing incrementally better systems for full price again and again.
What would the Wii be like without motion control?
@MintBerryCrunch
That's true, but we're hearing reports of people who are having eye strain very quickly, not after hours of play. That's insane if you think about it. How long can you stare at your computer screen before your eyes start to hurt?
Maybe, but seriously, this is not the year to be going "GOTY" this early. This year is going to be great from start to finish, so who knows how the next game will do.
True. I think it's one thing to see a Helghast or a space marine get stabbed in the face. But when a female soldier gets her throat slit or her eyes gouged out, I think there might be a bit of an outcry. Not from gamers but from ... others.
Or mess around with the botzone on easy or medium. If you end up liking that, play online and you won't be disappointed.
@Urrakia34
That's fine, when you do get it, you'll appreciate it all the more.
A couple points. I can see where you're coming from, but here's my problem with what you mentioned. Your last paragraph, you're talking about how Sony should be more secure. So these guys had to HACK their way into the system to find out the information. Then we want Sony to be more secure? How many people try to hack the ps3? I'll bet it's tons, since it's release. And because 1 or 2 people happened to find the secret info that is being transferred through to the psn,...
I don't HATE the Wii but I do despise it. I see it as a shoddy piece of hardware with very little capability besides a gimmick or two.
-First: It's popularity (yes, that). The thing I hate about it being so popular is the hype behind it, and it's ability to sell just as a novelty item. When something is selling almost as a novelty or a fad, then I have to question people's judgment and what that money could have helped fun in the gaming world. I couldn't ...
