Cross-game chat would be nice, like others have said.
But Sony should tell whiners to STFU and suck it up. Either get over it or get out (or maybe that's just how I feel).
As far as I know, NO ONE was affected by this "scandal" so people need to stop acting like whiny little bi***es. I challenge anyone to think of a similar situation where another company did a better job of cleanup and resolution than Sony did here.
Seriously. Grow u...
No, not really. And I think that with the amount of exclusives that are still coming for the ps3, no one is really ready. Now, in a few years when it actually does come out, then I'll be cool with it. I just don't want to make another expensive gaming purchase (outside of games) for a while.
Well, try playing Bad Company 2 and your squad is holed up in a building while another team is outside shooting and lobbing grenades at you; pieces of the walls keep disappearing and so is your cover. THEN you get that warning that the building is coming down. Nothing is more nerve wracking and intense.
I agree, of course the console versions will not look as good as the PC. Heck, most of the people who have the game on PC won't even get their games to look as good as that trailer :) I don't care about that difference, though, because I expect it. I do kinda care about the comparison between MW3 and BF3 on consoles.
Call of Duty has a lot of money behind it, even they use a terribly old engine, so they can get their graphics looking pretty good. Take the "older...
This article is "True" 4rd-grade quality reading material. Honestly, crack open a book, learn some punctuation, you know?
The content of the article is pretty sad. You're taking year-old info, trying to put a new pro-360 spin on it when you know the info is outdated. The 360 and ps3 versions of the game will be almost the same, Carmack has stated. Just because you're able to take out this super old quote that the 360 was easier to program for back then and ...
By buying Sony.
A couple of thoughts on this.
OBVIOUSLY it will be easier for ps3 exclusive developers to make better looking games on the ps3. The same can be said for the 360 (you will find pretty good looking games on 360 exclusives as well). This is not new news. This is not even news. BUT this does not mean that a developer making games on both consoles won't be able to harness the ps3's graphical power, it just means they have to put the time into it. Crysis 2 on the ps3 was am...
It's about time. Capcom realizes they don't make money supporting the Wii and I'm not sure about the 3ds, but it must be looking for the same for that (they must have gotten terrible sales on SF4 on 3ds).
I've said this before, but I think that every major developer/publisher who isn't seeing a return when supporting Nintendo's consoles should cut ties and wait for a more hardcore audience; MAYBE the next Nintendo console will bring it, and then great...
Whoever approved this needs to think long and hard about why he/she let this one through. Then hit yourself in the face.
If you're looking for one that will stand out, from what people are saying (people who actually even dislike 3d) then Uncharted 3 will blow you away. According to everyone who has seen it in 3D, they say it's the best looking 3D game ever.
Actually, if MS forces you to change your gamertag you don't pay anything, it's free.
@Vega75
If I remember correctly, it costs 800 MS points, so it's not cheap. It's equal to $10.
Now you have his face and his name. Get the FBI on him to give up everyone else he knows in the organization (I'm sure they're not ALL anonymous, I'm sure a lot of them know each other).
It would be awesome if all consoles overheating were those from people hacking.
"F*** off," a random PSN user says to the Australian security expert.
Dumb, dumb article. Shouldn't have been approved. Microsoft can buy whatever they want, it has NOTHING to do with Sony. It might have been a foolish purchase, especially for that amount of money, but that's their call; the only reason Sony is mentioned is to give hits to a stupid article.
That's exactly what I've been thinking. I think the whole Dragon Age 2 thing that Bioware did is affecting their image more than they think. I think people are mad about how they dumbed down DA2 (even though some hated it, some thought the new way was better than the original) and so they are hating on Mass Effect 2 (even though it was out before DA2) because they did the same thing. It was dumbed down, there is no argument there; less RPG stuff, easier planet scanning stuff, etc. <...
I won't bash his article because he's a 360 fanboy, a ps3 hater, or because he has the grammar skills of an 8th grader. But I will say that that is one of the stupidest articles I have read. This all smacks of someone looking for excuses to hate the system, not someone who is seriously deciding if the $300 is worth the money. The PSN excuses are just laughable; after 4 or 5 years, after all that time, NOW a hacking problem is what will decide to make you not buy this system? What a jo...
I'm just so sick of these guys. They need to be dealt with.
In fact, can we start a bounty on this? I'd pay cash for anyone finding one or all of these hackers and turning them in. I guess I just feel for the underdog, and that is definitely Sony in this case.
I just wish the FBI would get to work on this. I can't think of a crime that is bigger than this in the last year (stealing cc and personal info of 50 or 60 million), so what the hell are t...
I know, right? What better way to be helpful than to cost a game company (one who already doesn't have the insane income of, say, MS by charging for it's online services) millions of dollars that could have gone into game development, new game systems research, hardware, etc. The nerve of Sony, those rich bastards.
Nothing. You're 100% correct.
