I'm so confused. This looks good, killzone looks good, I like resistance multiplayer, WHAT DO I DO!!?? Too many shooters, not enough time (not to mention black ops, bad company 2, etc.) *cry*
This is typical though; don't smaller review sites tend to give popular games lower scores after the big ones do their reviews. I guess it's a way of getting hits for having "this big controversy" and such.
Well, I said the ps3 vs the 360; not the 360 slim, not the ps3 slim, I meant overall. Chances are better overall that your ps3 will last and your 360 will die.
Funny, but... why do you joke? :)
So many mistakes, so little time:
1. refurbished doesn't necessarily mean it was broken; it could have been returned, broken, not wanted, etc. Refurbished means it was taken to the manufacturer again and fixed to be like new.
2. The ps3 has a much lower chance of dying on you. This is a fact that not even 360 fanboys (or 360 owners) can argue about.
3. The wireless issue is VERY MISLEADING. 802.11n is ONLY useful for those people who ha...
I can definitely understand your concerns, and they can be valid ... but man, just run your text through a spell checker. Seriously, copy and paste it into Word, openoffice's Write, etc. Just make it read well, so people can understand what you're saying better.
Valid points, but they could be inconsequential in the end (I hope so). I'm very much hoping that the concerns of the new, faster-paced shooter aren't necessary and that it will sell like crazy. I wan...
Did that small, official, company tagline for Kinect actually deserve to be on n4g, not to mention the front page? Is it just me, or does this seem like no news at all?
"It's not affecting me in the slightest"
Then you must not have your ps3 connected to the psn then. You must play all your games offline.
@Kurt Russell
What the hell are you talking about? Do you even think about what you're saying? The only thing you said that makes any sense is that a hacked ps3 is going to bankrupt Sony. Besides that, your entire post is nonsense and smells of a 360 fanboy happy that something bad is happening to the ps3.
@dalehitchy
I'm sorry, but anyone who is going to blame Sony and even MENTIONS OtherOS is an idiot. How many times does this have to be mentioned before idiots will realize: OtherOS was taken out because it had vulnerabilities that hackers were going to exploit. Sony is suing the guy because HE hacked THEIR system. Where is the blame for Sony? If you owned the ps3 and people hacked it to shreds, trying to cause rampant piracy (don't anyone even start that "homebr...
I'm glad to see a new IP doing well. Even though I don't plan on playing it (I don't have the time for MMO's) I'm glad to see Sony's doing well on something that kinda looked iffy. Good for them.
@Both above:
So true, I'm glad I never bought Black Ops; I played it, and experienced the connection issues and bugs, and that made me mad enough. I can't imagine someone who owns it and has to deal with the problems day after day.
BFBC2: my favorite shooter of the last 5 years, period. Before that, it was UT2004, now, bad company 2 and vietnam, awesome games.
I think if people would just stop being sheep, shut out the need of "everyone ...
Nothing to do with hacking, read the article. This is about crappy connection issues and bad programming on Treyarch's side.
Exactly, the article doesn't say hack anywhere, it's just for connection issues. This has nothing to do with hackers for a change, it's about how Activision and Treyarch are f****** pathetic, shi**y companies who can't get right what all other shooters on the platform have already solved - a normal online experience. If this is true, and I really have to say I doubt it, then they are the worst company imaginable. You think Valve, Poeple can Fly, Naughty Dog, etc. are going to ...
This has nothing to do with the hacking, I'm guessing. The article says connection issues and just general criticism; I doubt it's cause of hacking, which is not on black ops in large amounts yet. But this ... to just shut it down, is insane. They are going to lose 2/5 of their fans JUST LIKE THAT. There is no going back from this, if they shut down their servers (which I admit is highly unlikely), then everyone will get Killzone 3 and no one (very, VERY few people) will ever buy a CO...
Agreed, I'm going to call BS. What is making him move forwards and backwards? What's keeping him moving forwards? If pulling his arm back makes him reverse, he doesn't do anything and his character starts moving forwards again ...? Don't think it's real.
Some people actually allowed this to get through to be on n4g? How is this news? Some people will put ANYTHING up just for hits, even if they know it's a mistake and will be fixed before it's even relevant. Just another site that has nothing to talk about so they talk about nothing.
@jarrod1981
Totally agree. And it's weird, whenever I mention Bad Company 2, for example, people kinda just blow it off and talk about Call of Duty, as if Battlefield's a joke. I don't get it, there's this whole feeling now in shooter "world" that Call of Duty is so much better than every shooter, which is just false. It might have some things better than other shooters, but I can name 10 things that are better in Bad Company 2.
The main thi...
This is a great comment, and is completely true. Dumb people, for some ungodly reason, praise hackers. The idea that "oh, hackers are going to bring us lots of stuff!" or "homebrew!", or "hackers will bring us back our long lost Linux", etc. all of those are pure bull****. THIS is a metaphor for what hacking gets you, in a nutshell, for ANYTHING. It ruins something that you paid for, and that people worked hard on.
I'm not blaming Black Ops o...
Of course it's 360 gameplay. Halfway through it shows that message that says a friend is online.
