Who is sending them a message? The thousand or so of us who understand the argument here, or the millions who do not go to these sites and don't understand the problem. They will throw down $60+ dollars just because it says CoD on the front. New engine? Better graphics? That doesn't matter to them, only the fact that it's a Call of Duty game. It's become like the Apple thing, where people will buy it up regardless of how many (few) people are comp...

Remember though, how much ever people respect him or not, he's giving his judgment on the exact same trailer that everyone else saw. He doesn't have any insider knowledge or isn't friendly with the developers (that we know of) to give us insider information. He just looked at the trailer and is saying the same thing that most people are: it looks amazing.

@hay
Exactly, finally someone says the intelligent thing: clock power isn't equal to raw graphics power. For the graphics card alone, there's many other considerations. Then after that you have ram, cpu architecture, etc.

This is a poorly written article with very little intelligence behind it. And the graph ...? LOL, no comment.

My question exactly, I don't think we'll know for a while, but ... you said "which I would imagine and hope." You probably shouldn't do that, because if it's not then it'll just make you mad. See it for what it is: split-screen in a game that didn't have it before, and if it turns out that it's for multiplayer as well, then this might be one of the top games of the year.

Pretty amazing announcement. The split screen is pretty awesome by itself; people always love this, even though they might want it without using it. But is this only campaign split screen or online multiplayer split screen as well ...? Now THAT would be spectacular.

*sigh* So sad, dumb people just wanting to be part of something, anything, special; they just have to find SOMEONE or SOMETHING to "fight," so they pick ... Sony? Seriously? Of course, let's not fight anything actual injustice in the world, let's fight the corporation who is just trying to protect their enormous investment (ps3). This is like a guy who calls the cops on a burglar and sends him to jail, only to have all the burglar's friends get pissed and attack him. <...

Oh God, is this retard STILL talking about this stuff? What, he didn't learn his lesson?

Look, I don't care what he does with his OWN ps3, as long as he doesn't publish any information online. If he can hack and play pirated games, fine; I just don't want him letting anyone else do that because then it interferes with MY enjoying [online] games.

And is he STILL talking about OtherOS? How much of an idiot is he? I don't know how many times ...

Yeah right, keep telling yourself that.

Anyway, about her acting, you can't just dismiss people's acting ability without having given them something good. Give her a good part with decent dialog and THEN see how good she is. I, along with most people, have only ever seen her in Transformers, and that movie was laughably bad.

I think what a lot of people seem to be confusing is sales vs quality. Yes, MS has sold a lot of units this gen, even of Kinect. However, if you look at the number of people actually using the system, I would have to say Sony has them beat. It's not ALWAYS about money and sales, it's also about how WELL your system did games-wise this generation. MS started well, but for the last year or so, including this year, what are they thinking?

Microsoft is floundering: they ...

It doesn't help your case by being an idiot with a 6th-grade-level understanding of English. It's one thing for comments, but if you want people to be able to read and understand and actually discuss intelligently, then at least know how to write.

5556d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Don't be that upset at them, they HAVE to do this. CoD has such a following that people will buy it without a second thought; to get through to those people, you have to catch their attention, and this might be the only way. They need to add these kind of statements into their commercials to get people who don't frequent video game websites to get this information.

And I don't think they ever said the game will sell better, so the sales figures don't really m...

Very true. There's that feeling like, you want the game you support to have the sales it deserves. So I want Battlefield 3 to be a great game, and yes, I want it to sell a lot, more than CoD if that's possible. But think about what that means: if it sells more than the next CoD, that means it drew that CoD audience in, and that is not exactly what most people want (the CoD fanbase is NOT the same as the Battlefield or Bad Company gamers). I mean, I want Uncharted 2 to sell a ton, but ...

What a lot of people on n4g say is true, the common person doesn't know anything except the names of the games. I think if EA and Dice want people to realize that they have a better game than CoD, they need to show that in tv adverts. You know, maybe show some snippets or single comments from critics that actually compare the 2 (like, "blows CoD out of the water!" or something). Otherwise, average people will just be like, "I'll just get CoD, I don't know how good t...

So if you go to their forums and see so many people complaining (maybe a 3:1 ratio of problems to praises) ... you think they're lying? I'm sure you'll get a post here or there and the tone will make you convinced the person hasn't even played the game at all, but there's a LOT of people on their forums, including myself, who are complaining about legitimate concerns. Just because it's working perfectly for you doesn't mean that it's perfect, it just means you&...

I don't want to crap on this, because $5 is not terrible. But think about what's going on here; $5 for 2 maps that only have 1 gametype each. Maybe I was spoiled with Bad Company 2 Vietnam. Even though it was $15, there were 5 maps and each could be played on every game type (so that was like 20 possible game types for the maps). These 2 maps don't seem that great after thinking about it: 2 game types, total; 1 for each map.

Also, what is GG thinking? I know that ...

It's almost like a made for TV drama. Add some girlfriends (yeah right), a wife no one knows about, another mistress (yeah right), and it could be better popcorn material.

You have some interesting ideas, but a lot of what you said isn't as important as you said.

Yes, Kinect has sold a lot. A ton actually. I've said it before, and I'll probably say it many times again, but Microsoft and (most definitely) Nintendo have this affect on people, where they can "get away" with pretty much anything. What I mean is, MS and Nintendo can hype up ANYTHING and it will sell no matter what. Even if there's no information about it do...

Why does it seem like MS is more and more out of touch with a real gamer? Are they getting dumber over there?
