= portable HEAVEN.
Powered USB hub outputting 5 volts @ 1 Amp can be purchased from your favorite electronics vendor for about $7 and does the same thing. You would think that C-Net, you know the Computing resource that they are, would have realized this and not even wasted the time and effort for this article.
Umm.. like... umm... yeah...
FF XIII will be released for both the PS3 and XBox 360 with Japan only getting it on the PS3. Final Fantasy Versus XIII from what has been reported is a PS3 only title and is NOT FF XIII but a different title altogether. Now for anyone else that may question this:

So yes the XBox 360 gets FF XIII as does the PS3. But the PS3 gets Versus XIII and the PSP...
No bashing, some complimenting and most of all, confidence. That right there is what it is about and the man shows it in spades. He knows that the PS3 is the future of console gaming. He pushes that fact with Home and connecting players in ways other than just playing online. He also reinforces the PSP/PS3 interaction. Although the one good punch he laid in was the first party titles and lack thereof on the XBox when asked about 3rd party devs.
is working overtime! Whatever this clown can spin to make Xbox 360 look good he has/does and will continue to. The best is the XBox outselling the PS3 in Japan which is my personal favorite. A console half the price of its' competitor outsells it by 1,000 units last week while the PS3 had its' LOWEST sales week in Japan, ever. Now if it outsold it 2:1 or better than yes bragging rights are indeed warranted.
Now onto the using the XBox 360 to grow their market. Um yeah, that...
I will meet your rolling eyes and raise you a facepalm...
Not only did it outsell the PS3 by a whopping 1000 units. It did so on the worst sony sales week EVER for the PS3. For some reason I don't think this is something to go bragging about. Especially since the price cut...
so eloquently stated it isn't in Sony's interest to throw good money after bad on securing 3rd party titles. Sony has an incredibly strong first party program and that's where they should be and ARE focusing. Microsoft is in damage control mode right now with the culling of their first party studios, the still huge red blotch on the books from the original XBox and last but not least the 1 billion dollar warranty fund for the RRoD drying up with no end in sight for warranty claims.
...
That PS2 emulator rumor was squashed. I was looking forward to finally retiring the old workhorse and freeing up some space in my entertainment center. Ooh well.
mean nothing in the long run. MS is in damage control mode at the moment. Their games division for both PC and Xbox has been culled and the Xbox warranty fund has dried up. They are still way in the red from the original Xbox and now with the faulty 360 with a near 30% failure rate it isn't getting any better.
If this is any indication of things to come from MS and judging by history the Xbox 360 will be EOL'd by mid 2010. In their zeal to capture the market by releasing a fa...
Fighters like this are nice but no longer need to be exclusive to a platform. Gamers are looking for something new and fresh like LBP or Gears of War when it was released. Not a beat'em up.
doesn't need a XBox 360 either. A 7 year old should be given a Wii or a DS at the most. So your argument is moot. As for LBP being a big map editor, you sir are sadly mistaken or just uninformed. In any case your post shows just how much you know about video games and the video game industry. In a word, nothing.
When you spend the money you still spend the money. In any case if you break down the cost of the Arcade + Wifi + HDD + XBL you are spending approx. 25% more for the end result. Not to mention IF, notice I said IF, you also want Blu-Ray movies that will be an additional $300 which would be approx. the cost of TWO PS3s. So to wrap it up, I still fail to see the issue with the price of a PS3.
The example you give is the same example I have used time and time again. Yes the price of entry is $200 but after you throw in XBL, Wifi adapter and HD you are out $470. The $399 for the PS3 is at that point a bargain seeing that you can toss in a game and still come in lower. Unfortunately alot of people are saps and will fall for this and get suckered.
Absolutely horrible... The least they could have done is get the running animation looking good. The whole looks like she has something up her @ss. Not to mention incredibly bow legged. Well pixel porn will sell to the teens! Sad but true.
I don't see the $399 being a hinderance in the holiday buying season. Using the two console scenario I don't see price being a problem either. The $200 difference won't be enough of a savings to any parent(s) if they do a little homework and understand how much more has to be spent to get the most of of the Xbox 360. Deferring the cost to a later time for the HDD, WiFi adapter / XBL isn't an excuse either because no matter when you spend it, you still spend it.
Are more likely to buy a Wii than either the Xbox 360 or PS3. The Xbox 360 is going to suffer the same fate as its' predecessor and be EOL'd prematurely. Microsoft is throwing in the towel with Vista already and they had spent nearly 14 Billion on R&D and advertising. If you think for a moment that they won't slowdown on the Xbox 360 you got another thing coming. If the recent closing/sales of their first party studios doesn't give you a glimpse into the future than nothing will. <...
I swear these clowns have nothing better to do. Comparing the Xbox 360 Arcade to a PS3 is comparing apples to oranges. Compare an Elite/Premium + WiFi adapter to a PS3 and go from there otherwise don't even bother. What people fail to realize is that the PS3 crowd is generally an older demographic with the money to buy a piece of electronics equipment that will serve multiple functions. Game console, Blu-Ray player, media center, etc... Microsoft caters to the mass market with low cost, ...
I echo the sentiments of others in that there are way too many good games first party and third party already coming out for the PS3 within the next 3 months. Not only that but unless Valve does the port in house and supports it, unlike Orange Crap, I would have absolutely no interest in it. What Valve failed to realize when they snubbed the PS3 is that PS3 owners are a very nasty bunch. If you snub us we will almost definately write you off for any future purchases.
The one thing I do miss in there though is Killzone. The art direction in the game was phenominal. The whole grainy look to make it look as if you were watching the actions and events unfold through an embedded camera reporter. Was one of my favorite shooters last gen. on consoles next to HALO.
