Now with the superior software line up, rebounding economy AND holiday season upon us the PS3 is poised to jump ahead. Consoles games right now if the time is taken look similar to PC based games right now. If you compare the average gaming PCs graphics to a consoles on a 37"+ 1080p set there is a very small difference. Now same cannot be said about the super SLI rigs out there BUT the graphics cards and memory alone in most of those rigs cost more than both the XBox 360 and PS3 combined toss in a couple hundred more and you have the 37" 1080p set as well. With the pricedrop and the fact that it is a HD console yes, I agree, it would leave the strongest impression. Problem is most of these publishers are the same ones publishing half-assed shovelware for the Wii/DS and probably wouldn't know what the hell to do with a 360 OR a PS3 if it came up and smacked them.
Anyone notice that the ONLY PS3 title in the top 30 was NBA Live 09?! That just defies logic in so many ways.
MS Xbox 360 = Approx. 21 mil units worldwide
Sony PS3 = Approx. 17 mil units worldwide
That's now 4 million consoles ahead which is HALF of the 8 million console lead they had from their one year earlier release. Which means that if the trend continues the PS3 will be near or equal to the install base of the XBox 360 by the end of 2009. Looking good Sony.. looking good!
Bringing in the Yen. Granted it wasn't enough to offset losses in other Sony divisions BUT it sure as hell helped cushion the blow. So to the naysayers about SCEI losing money I say.. HA!
This holiday season as well as throughout 2009 the PS3 will outsell the XBox 360 due to the stronger software library and exclusives. By this time next year Sony will have matched or surpassed the 360 installed base. From that point on Sony will become the dominant HD console on the market and the XBox 360 will begin to wane away. Sometime in 2010 the XBox 360 will be EOL'd by MS.

Is a joke. Has anyone else noticed that when gamepsot scores a multiplat on the PS3 regardless of what the world + dog is scoring it they are generally always .5 if not more lower? It's one thing to score a bad game badly. But the folks at gamespot are just ridiculous.
it came from Kotaku so must be positive for the 360. In any case everyone is selling software so it's a good thing. Now all we need is to see what LBP and Resistance 2 does and for how long.
