is good press. As it stands because of this song debacle the game has gotten more press coverage than Sony could have ever hoped for. It has made headlines in major newspapers nationwide, featured on CNN and BBC news and other smaller news shows. Not to mention the insane exposure on the internet. Marketing for free = WIN.
The PS3 and 360 get the expansion as well. I have always loved UT and would like to see it prosper alongside the other big hitters in the FPS arena this year and in 2009.
Said it the best. If all the 360 has is a price advantage over the PS3 that won't be enough to extend its' life into 2009. With the weaker software library in Q4/2008 and Q1/2009 along with PS HOME coming out it is going to be a rough ride for MS.

I have yet to experience any problems with getting on the server and playing games. That part in particular, the log in/join game and play part, is really pretty quick. The only thing I experienced is some atrocious lag ONCE in approx. 20 hours of play. The game is an absolute blast to play as well. 16 vs. 16 demolition or suppression is incredible.
I was in the Beta and the Beta just plain ole sucked. Slant-6 has gone through a tremendous effort to get the retail version as good as it is. A friend of mine who was also in the Beta called me after he downloaded it this weekend and he was giddy. I went over and checked it out and it is indeed an excellent game. I realize it is a small group of people that took offense to it over a 2 year old song that apparently didn't bother them 2 years ago. In any case MEgamer.com a Middle East gamer review site, Islam being the largest recognized religion in the Middle East, found no fault when playing the game and reviewing it. Point is quite simple. If it doesn't piss off the 99.9% majority why then cater to the .1% minority?

Has every QA tester gone through the game and made sure that some anomolous image in the mud doesn't resemble Allah? Got to make sure of that you know because someone might get offended.
