"Why do people feel as if they need to defend Sony?
I don't get it. This article has already gone past 80 replies, why? Why do so many get sucked into this flamebait tactic where they need to post in response and some are downright fanboy replies."
Even better question...I'd like to know who's on the "approval committee" for these flamebait articles.
Amazing how not many people figured as much. I'm not trying to play the role of conspiracy theorist, nor am I into this fanboy BS, but that's exactly what I was thinking, Morgan.
Sounds interesting.
True. She's okay up until when she starts inching her way towards Kratos - when I'm try to maintain a one-on-one fight. That area's hard enough as is. Don't need for her to make it any harder.
Personally, I would add Pandora in GOW3 on Chaos mode. At the section of "The Labyrinth" where the game sends seemingly endless waves of Sickle Wraiths, Sirens, Minotaurs, and soldiers, I try to keep a safe attack distance since it's so easy for the enemy to kill you. But no...this CHICK insists on crowding my space, attracting the enemies I'm trying to keep a distance from. I get killed and have to go through this headache of a level again because of her.
You won't be disappointed.
"and NOW you have those same sites putting Heavenly Sword on 'the most underappreciated games of the generation' lists, or, 'games that we'd LOVE to see a sequel for.' FUCK YOU."
LMAO. I'd give you two bubbs if I could for your post.
You are so right, m'man. The media trashed the PS3 back during that time and looked for the slightest thing to criticize the games that most games today would get a pat on the back for. I...
I hated the fact that Ninja Theory showed no intentions whatsoever of possibly doing another joint venture with Sony for developing HS2, considering they did so well with the first game. But now seeing that Sony owns, not only the IP, but the technology to develop the game as well, it should be a no brainer to hand the IP off to one of their more talented studios. That was the only thing that had me leery of a possible HS2 in that the original developers would not have anything to do with the...
I think Nintendo owns exclusive rights to the Goldeneye 007 name, so it's unlikely that this will go to any other platform that's not Nintendo's own. Had it not been for that, this game would've already gone multiplat. And judging by the performance of a recent Acivision-published 007 game, Eurocom have bigger shoes to fill than if this was developed by Free Radical themselves.
I am not even a big fan of EA published football games (since the NFL/NCAA exclusivity deal) but I must admit, this has been the best football game I've played since ESPN NFL 2K5 - at least for the demo.
Heavenly Sword was a criminally underrated game, and is more than deserving of a sequel. Maybe even a prequel of sorts, so that the original cast can return in the game. But as morganfell said, this is just BS speculation. There isn't anything remotely associated with Heavenly Sword mentioned in the article. As much as I would love to see the franchise continue, I wouldn't put too much hope in this - at least not based on this article.
This would be like the straw that broke the camel's back for EA. It was bad enough that Live was the inferior bball title to begin with. Nonetheless, I just hope that 2K11 deliver enormous improvements over the last two games. A Jordan cover will not compensate for the bad controls and myriad of other problems that plagued the series the last two years. Hopefully Mike Wang's return can change that.
Eternal Darkness had a complex story that would go over the average gamer's head. A great underappreciated game.
I would give anything to see an NFL successor to 2K5.
"Where you used to be committed to an action's entire animation as soon as you punched a button, NBA Elite 11 gives you the ability to interrupt and intertwine actions on a whim. If you're driving toward the basket and a defender cuts you off, you won't awkwardly run into or around him; you can slow your roll and interrupt your movie with a flick of the left stick."
Sounds more like it's steering back in the arcade-like gameplay arena.
"This is the problem with this generation. There are many things I prefered in the ps2 days, and buying a game that you know will have 100% of its content on it is one of them."
I couldn't have spoken better words, m'man. Last gen in summary - more content, fewer bugs/glitches.
Decent list. But personally, I would swap out Madden 10 and NFL Blitz for College Hoops 08 and Madden 04.
Another indicator of this list being fake is that they mention NFL GameDay 11. I mean, really?? EA has exclusive rights to the NFL license, so NFL GameDay 11 is not even possible.
Those are much better incarnations of their G1 counterparts than that Michael Bay fiasco. I was able to guess/identify the characters before seeing who they actually were. Here's to hoping that the game itself is any good.
Would be nice if this was Heavenly Sword 2.
