LoVeRSaMa: If by a snap of the fingers, you mean 90+ days, then yes, he can get it all back. Seriously, when I was playing a couple months back, a couple people in my guild had their accounts hacked, a couple weeks apart. The GM's offer you a restore package that restores your character and they give you some gold and a couple freebies, but it doesn't come even remotely close to repaying what was lost, especially for an established character. The other option, which is what the other ...
Phantasmagoria should have made the list, it had a couple fairly gruesome death scenes, especially for its time.
@Pennywise: Just think of how much you won't have to buy in the next year or two, if you have the subscription. Sure, you'll probably own most of what they offer throughout the next few months, but when new stuff starts coming to the PSN, you'll be getting discounts and freebies.
I'm right there with you, I loved the art style in Wind Waker and for the most part loved the game. The gameplay was true to the Zelda franchise, so I can't understand why it's hated so much.
Oregon drivers actually know how to drive. I've lived in Washington most of my life and I hate the drivers here. I've also lived in Oregon for a few years. When crossing between the two states you can actually tell that you're in Washington because most of the cars will slow down and drive in the left hand lane.
Also, Portland has way better weather than Western Washington overall.
I completely agree, of all the older folks I know, 40+ years old that own a Wii, none own a PS3 or an Xbox. So, why do both Sony and MS think they're going to win these people over? It's not going to happen. Unless they're more than casual gamers, they're not going to spend $200-300 on a console and another $99-150 on an add-on. Even if a bundle is offered for $250-350 it's still not going to win over the older Wii crowd, unless they're more than casual gamers.
I wonder if these glasses will come with the DVD?
I'm betting this is a joke on Valve's part. I bet we see Portal 2 in some form as well as some other stuff.
Just like now, we'll see good and bad games, it all comes down to who's making the games. Imagine a great horror game in 3d, though! What will be really nice, is when quality developers start to make great games and take full advantage of 3d.
I was pretty disappointed when I found out that the Oddworld game, The Brutal Ballad Of Fangus Klot was canceled. I've played every Oddworld game to date and have loved them all. I was sorta bummed when the creator decided to get away from games.
The original Street Fighter should have made the ugly list, it was so horribly bad, it goes beyond so bad it's funny. Also, Mortal Kombat should be on the list somewhere between Good and Bad.
Wrathman:
"early days of blu-ray did not require £140 glasses to view per person."
No, it didn't require £140 glasses per person, but do you even remember the original price of the PS3 or the first generation of blu-rays? It was pretty damn close to that price.
All new technologies start out with premium costs, eventually the prices will drop and everyone will be able to afford them. Even original DVD player prices were outrage...
Really? Playing games legally is a rip off?
UFC 2009 was pretty much broken for online play when it first came out. It took them a month and a half to get a patch out, and it still didn't fix a lot of the problems.
Am I the only one that thinks an imitation Kevin Butler will end up hurting the effectiveness of actually using Kevin Butler? Too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. I think what makes the current marketing campaign so good is that they're not bombarding us with it. If they start making "spin offs" it'll end up lessening the appeal of Kevin Butler ads.
I bought a PS3 because I own a PC. The choice I made was based off of what games I'd be able to play. Sony has more quality exclusives that are true exclusives. While, all the Xbox games I want to play are either multi-platform or available on the PC.
Parapraxis:
"The company doing the mo-cap for EA is called Audiomotion Studios and it's clear that they really know their stuff."
Regardless of whether they are helping MS research or providing motion capture for a game. They are a company that's part of the development team for EA and in no way would want to put a negative light on how Natal works. So, saying that Audiomotion Studios doesn't have to worry about criticism coming their is complete...
Agreed, Battletoads was insanely hard. After weeks of playing, I was able to get to the level Terra Tubes without too much trouble(using warps of course). But, I rarely managed to beat that level. After, that the game just gets harder. Later on, when emulators came out, I was finally able to beat the game using save states, but damn, there's zero room for error in the later levels.
Kira83:
You too, failed to read or understand what the actual article was about. The article isn't about the lawsuit, the one mention of the lawsuit is in the first paragraph where it mentions an earlier article.
The article on THIS page is all about Sony taking out the Other OS support when switching to PS3 Slims and to a lesser degree the firmware update, and not allowing known organizations(known to Sony according to the article) to make use of these PS3 cluste...
Seferoth75 so you had all of your gear and gold restored? Did they stop doing the emblem package then? It used to be, you can choose to get a set amount of gold and a bunch of Frost and Triumph emblems, or what my guild mate said she would do, which was wait 90 days for the characters to be returned with restored gear. I don't know, maybe they've improved things since I played.
