I go through GameFly, it costs $40 to have four games out at once and I share the price with two other friends. So, we're paying about $13/month each. It works out pretty well for us. The biggest downside is that you're rarely able to get a new game within the first few months of its release.
The Dark Eye is a great game if you can get it to work. It's sort of an adventure game set in Edgar Allan Poe's works. It's a really eerie game and is perfect for Halloween.
@bananlol: FF6 is my favorite RPG to date, Chrono Trigger is 2nd and FFVII is in my top 5. I played FFX a couple years ago, I'd totally recommend playing it, but imo, it's no where near as good as the earlier games in the series. It takes awhile to get going in the game, but once you get about 6-8 hours in, it starts to pick up.
The Labyrinth Zone gave me so much trouble at first when I was a kid. It's because throughout the rest of the game it's all about speed. When you get to that boss, you have to force yourself to slow down and take your time, once I learned that I was able to beat that level pretty easily.
@Newtype I feel sorry for you, thinking an SSD will improve gaming performance. You'd be better off spending that wad of cash on a new video card rather than an SSD. The only thing an SSD will do for you is improve loading times, if it helps anything else, you don't have enough RAM and would be better off getting more.
If you're going to try to insult people for not knowing as much as you, you damned well better know what you're talking about.
lmao, Fred's right, I work at a juvenile detention center for the county. My last job was a call center though and it was pretty much the same. Until wamu.com maintenance on Saturdays, then our phones exploded until the site came back up.
In a few years, the 3DS will be the most popular handheld gaming device. At least if you're looking real games from 3rd party devs.
I'm 30 and have had a DS Lite for at least two years now. I love my DS, I work graveyard, so for 6 hours out of the night, there's absolutely nothing to do. I'll either read a book or play my DS, currently playing LoZ: Spirit Tracks. There are some really great games on that system, a lot of garbage of course, but a lot of great games, too.
The DC's failure had everything to do with PS2 hype. There was a 4 year gap between the DC and the Saturn, 4 years was plenty of time for Sega to reestablish themselves. The DC actually sold very well in the first couple years, but after the PS2 came out, the sales dropped.
I'm sorry, I loved Sega back when I owned a Genesis and even before that when I played the Master System religiously at my friends house. But, after the failed Sega CD, 32x, Saturn and Dreamcast, I...
"We can do things with Milo beyond even what Scientists have been able to do. Its so advanced that even Sci-Fi hasn't even thought of such things yet."
Wow, just...... wow!
Most 3d cameras on the market have at least 20 times the megapixels, too. The 3DS will have 0.3 MP cameras, so it should barely effect the price of the unit. You really can't compare a $300 10MP+ 3d camera to the 0.3MP 3DS.
So what? Keep posting articles and making a fuss about the price being too high and maybe they'll lower it even more.
I really enjoyed Brutal Legend, it had a lot of great moments throughout the game. Sure, it wasn't Shafer's best game, but it had a whole lot of charm.
It kind of irks me that they made the dash circuit easier. I spent a good 3-4 hours of pure frustration earning that trophy.
If they have some decent games lined up for release, it'll be a day 1 purchase for me. I'm really looking forward to what they reveal on Sept. 29th.
E.T. the Extra Terrestrial should be #1. It gets such a bad rap as being an awful game. But, once you figure out the game, you find out that it's actually something that can be completed. IMO, it was ahead of its time as an adventure game. The only reason it was labeled as the worst game ever is because nobody knew how to play it. Look at a game like Pitfall, you ran in either direction for as long as there was time or until your lives ran out. E.T. had you searching for items that had to...
I made my own Link for my first playthrough. I spent a good few hours getting everything just right. It made me feel like I was playing a Zelda game and I loved it. I ended up getting the Platinum for it, just to see all the differences in dialogue, very funny. I only wish I had played Demon's Souls before playing 3D Dot Game Heroes to recognize all the references.
If you loved pre-N64 Zelda, you'll love 3D Dot Game Heroes. If you haven't played pre-64 Zelda, you&...
I don't understand, if the game is already being released for the PS3, why wouldn't they automatically add in Move support, it would only help it sell better in the end.
There are a good number of RPG's on the SNES and some on the Genesis that are just as epic in story as FFVII, the only difference between those games and FFVII are the graphics.
If anything, the original Final Fantasy is more important to gaming than FFVII. Also, Dragon Warrior was right up there with Final Fantasy, it was a pretty popular game back then that brought a whole lot of people into RPG's.
FF Chronicles is $11.39 and Final Fantasy Anthology is $11.23 on Amazon; both are brand new. Add a third game to take you over the $25 mark and you'll get free shipping.
