That looks like ass, seriously. If that isn't the final product, then there's nothing to complain about, yet. If that is the final product, then they'd do better to just leave damage out, because that looks really awful.
This thread makes me laugh. Why do fanboys have so much trouble accepting criticism? Nobody is challenging the gameplay, which will surely be awesome. With GT5, you have these amazing graphics and amazing driving, then if you get hit, you see thi...
Again, the issues you experienced were directly related to the massive amounts of people trying to play the game. Those issues are things you can't fix until they've happened, since you need tens of thousands of people to stress every server.
When I said WoW was amazingly solid at launch, I meant to add "compared to other MMO's." My second sentence implies that, but I forgot to add it to the first sentence.
I'm willing to bet your i...
@Chris399: WoW was amazingly solid at launch. I've played multiple MMO's from beta to launch and WoW was by far the best. There were issues, but most of those issues were centered around the fact that Blizzard wasn't ready for so many players. The items missing and server disconnects were because of the sheer number of people trying to play the game at once vs. the number of servers Blizzard had on hand. For all the quests they did have, there were very few that were actually bro...
Mafia II released a $10 DLC the very day the game was released. Most developers used to give us the game and a little extra for picking up their game. Now, we're lucky if we even get a complete game. How about rewarding people for actually buying their game at full price?
LittleBigPlanet is just as bad, I purchased the game when it came out at full retail price, what did I get for my purchase? I had some fun, and the ability to buy an astounding amount of DLC. Now, if I ...
I actually feel bad for the people that have pre-ordered and are looking forward to Kinect. They're really getting the short end of the stick here. I know I give a lot of shit to Kinect, but damn, this is pretty bad.
I remember seeing Chrono Resurrection a few years back, and if I remember correctly it was nearly complete, but SquareEnix had a fit and forced them to shut down under threat of legal action. They could have bought this game and released it on the DS instead of the lame port they ended up using. It would have saved them so much time and money. DAMN YOU SQUAREENIX!!!
I watched Blair Herter from G4TV play this at E3, he makes it look a lot more fun:

Makes me want to play it. This guy doesn't know what the hell he's doing. It's a PSN game too, so it'll probably be $15, well worth it, imo.
Wow, I actually agree with the games in this list 100%. I may have changed the order a bit, but the games are all favorites of mine.
That's kind of how I see it going down, it'll probably sell well at first. The Justin Beiber/Hannah Montana fanbase will be all over it. And even they will get bored after a couple weeks. Then, the core gamers will feel cheated out of $150 after they find little use for it. Occasionally, some dev will come out with a decent game that utilizes the tech, but they'll want to bring it multiplatform so they might actually turn a profit. And seeing as how Kinect can do little that Move ...
Wow, most of you completely missed the analogy.
David Cage wasn't saying that the stories are as bad as porn, just that they're told much like the "story" in a porn vid. There are small bits of story told between lots of action. It's a great analogy. The problem I see with changing to the Heavy Rain style, is that it's like driving a vehicle and listening to a story at the same time, you're likely to miss a whole lot more than if you were able to...
I think game devs need to finish their games as well. Enough of this; we'll give you half a game and make you play the rest via DLC.
When it asks for your user id, it takes you to the actual Sony website where it asks for your login info. Even if it wasn't a real LBP site, they can't steal PSN id's and passwords from the real Sony website.
If the games in the article were actually marketed like MW2, they would have sold far better than they did. It's not that gamers don't want these games, it's that the publishers are afraid to market a game that hasn't been proven to be a seller. So, word never really gets out about these games. I had to actively hunt, to find Psychonauts, I was searching through countless reviews to find a game I might be interested it. I came upon Psychonauts and read some really great review...
When we were young, some friends and I rented Super BomberMan 2 for the SNES and a Multitap and spent the next five days having some of the most fun we've had while gaming. Years later I modded my Xbox and we loaded up Super Bomberman and played 4-player again, it's still one of the best multiplayer games around.
Part of the charm is being in the same room as the people you're playing against. It's hard to match that in online games these days, which is kind ...
@catguykyou: Sorry, didn't see the quotes there, if I could edit my previous post I would.
We owned both, and I played both regularly. I loved the Genesis, it had some of my favorite games and I still own The Immortal. However, SNES just had so many more games that were outstanding. I played Phantasy Star and Shining Force, but I can't remember much about them. Wanderers from Y's 3 was a great game. But, I remember so much more from SNES games, like the first time I saw the opening scene for Chrono Trigger, my first epic battle against Kefka at the end of FFIII, and the fir...
Optical_Matrix: You forgot a couple, PC controls are also superior for third person shooters and point-and-click adventures. Really, anything that requires accuracy is almost guaranteed to be better with PC controls. So, essentially 90% of the games out there. I'd say the only types of games not made better by PC controls are fighting games and some sports games.
What I find funny is that you're comparing 2-3 different consoles with a single "console." Well,...
Anyone ever try to play Burnout Paradise? It took me over two hours to download the updates for that game the day I bought it. I have a 15Mbps and a great router, my PC speeds are exactly what they should be(1.5-2MBs), but my PS3 crawls in comparison. It's not a matter of having "bad internets," something is happening either on Sony's side or Comcast's side. Either way, Sony needs to look into it and figure out what the problem is, since it's affecting their service ...
It's part of the House Party promotion. A month or two ago, you could sign up to host a PS Move launch party. If you were selected to host a party, Sony would send you this package of goodies for the party and you can keep it afterward. You are then supposed to take pictures and post stuff on the House Party website after the party.
