@kasasensei:
You ever play Counter Strike or BF2? There were plenty of people that went knife only and those games didn't have trophies. If it can be played online, someone will ALWAYS play against the intended mechanics of the game. Also, if someone comes at you head on with a knife, guess what? You get a free kill.

If someone's not able to enjoy a game because of a trophy, it's their own damn fault. I played 3D Dot Game Heroes and loved the game, I liked...

Since, you don't need trophies to have fun playing a game, how have trophies ruined video games?

Kojima's behind it? So, there's guaranteed to be a bunch of convoluted, contrived plot twists throughout the game. Although, the actual gameplay should be really good.

I'm tempted to buy this and I don't even own an Xbox360. I could always sell it on eBay for a nice profit.

It's not very likely, what I've read is that there are too many pop culture references in the game. Nintendo fears some type of lawsuit will happen if the game comes out. It was a great game, it's sad that we'll probably never see it outside of an emulator ever again.

That's a nice list, the only thing I'd change is add Out of this World(Another World) and maybe Flashback and Prince of Persia. I think I'd end up making it a top 15 or 20, top 10 is too few for me. And FFVI is where it should be, at #1.

I think the author's list is a really good non-rpg based list, they are all great games.

I think everyone already understands that shovelware will be made for the Move. Just like every console to date, there are a lot of awful games made but the redeeming factor is that the Move will also work with a lot of great games.

@Estranged: Mario has had his own cartoon, his own movie, I'm sure there are multiple types of foods out there with Mario's face on them. I had Mario bed sheets in the early 90's. I'll bet there are atleast 4 times as many games with Mario than there are with Sonic. Mario had trading cards, too.

Check this site out for some of the old memorabilia. I owned a fair amount of this stuff.

@I_find_it_funny:
They walked out of there with about $1,300 for playing a game they enjoy and got their names in a book... How is that a fail? How is it pointless to make $1,300 for two days "work?" And why the hell would they give that money to charity, they probably don't have full time jobs to begin with, I'm sure they need the money. Are you just mad that you didn't think of it first?

Some of those should not be on this list. I own the Nostromo N52, I used it with WoW before I quit and a few other games and I love it. There were a couple problems with it, but overall it was the best gaming peripheral I've owned. I don't see how it's considered one of the worst failures, considering it's had at least four versions. If you play MMO's, you should at least try using it for a few days, you'll never go back to a keyboard.

I totally agree, I like Munn, I think she can be hilarious, but she doesn't know anything about gaming and little about tech. I'm guessing they'll fill Munn's role on AOTS with Alison Haislip, she seems to know what's what in gaming and tech. She's nice on the eyes, too. I think Munn will fit in nicely on the Daily Show.

EVILDEAD360: I disagree with most of what you've said, but your microwave comment is completely accurate.

I don't think anyone was saying PC argument matters to a 360 owner, this whole discussion is based on a prospective buyer. If that buyer is trying to decide between a Wii and an Xbox360, the quality of their PC can become an important deciding factor.

I own a PS3 and recently broke down and bought a Wii. I won't be buying a 360, mostly because...

No, these types of auctions happen all the time. Someone puts something up as a joke and the bids start flying. In the end, no one pays.

That's the same price as what I was describing.

PS Move Package = $100
Nav = $30
Extra Move = $50
Game = $40
Tax = $20

The only difference is in the check-out, Amazon gives an additional $10 off.

#1 - Personally, I think it is too expensive, I'd order it right now if they had a $100 package that comes with the Eye, a Navigation controller, a game and the Move controller. I'll still get it eventually, but I just think the price is a tad high. Especially, considering you're going to want additional controllers.

#3 - You DO need the Navigation controller for some games, at least for some people. There's absolutely no way I'd be able to play with the D...

@mrv321: Not exactly, want to know what will really happen if we stop buying the conflict minerals? Nothing, except maybe a clearer conscience for a few people. China(the largest importer of these minerals) will continue to buy the minerals, regardless of a few internet videos which can't be viewed in China, anyway.

I foresee a LOT of fights starting between siblings. The older kid almost smacked his sister a few times throughout the video I saw.

SEE, games do make people evil! Jack Thompson was right all along!

So, is he comparing himself to someone that does create bombs or produce medical breakthroughs? Who's calling him a genius?

I'd actually argue that he does more for medicine than you. By developing their games, they help forward the push for better graphics, which helps move along the production of higher end video cards, which then allows people to help medical research with things like Folding@Home.

I highly doubt that you'll be learning string ...

ChronoJoe, your sentence isn't exactly a shining example of how to write something, either. The article was actually written very well, there were only a couple spelling errors.
