@optimus
The only feature they actually removed was OtherOS. You're saying Sony is evil for releasing the system @ $600 and when they release a new model for half the price without OtherOS and backwards compatibility, they're still evil?
And you acknowledged that customers invest heavily in Sony products but you say they deserve to have those products compromised by hackers?
Your very logic is faulty.
At the latest, I'm expecting it back before E3. Not a fully updated store but a beginning. Over the next month, there is going to be so much content to sift through that I bet download speeds are going to be atrocious.
People laughed at Kinect for the same reasons they laughed at the Wii. Think of every game you like to play. Now think of every game you have ever played. Which ones would have been better if you could control them only by waving your arms around?
Wii is successful because it targeted an audience that doesn't normally play video games. Whether that audience keeps playing is an unknown. Kinect has sold better than expected. Whether Microsoft can produce games to support th...
So when Microsoft announces their much-rumored Halo remake that won't be considered a 360 exclusive? It won't have the "Only on xbox 360" tag on it?
Reissues and remastered games can still be considered exclusives if the game is only available in that new form on the console. For example, Ico and SOTC were both on PS2 but not on the same disc or in 3D or redone in HD as they will be on PS3.

I think they learned with PSN being down that it's better to have a solid date than say "a few days" or make a date and then have to miss it. It will be like when they brought back online. You'll find out on the day. But it will be slow and probably go down again with everyone trying to download a bunch of stuff at once.
Xbox true AAA exclusives:
Halo
Gears
Forza
PS3 true AAA exclusives:
God of War
Killzone
Gran Turismo
Uncharted
Resistance
That's just off the top of my head but actually "true AAA exclusive" is really just a subjective term.
EVERYONE hypes trailers of games that won't be out for a while. That's how this industry works. Did you see the most recent VGAs? Activision showed a trailer for Prototype 2 which isn't out until 2012. THQ did the same thing with their new horror game. At the last e3, there was a trailer for True Crime that was supposed to come out last year which now no longer exists.
And if ps3 isn't outselling 360, how do you explain the two systems being close in worldwide...
The only people who will ever truly know are the people who did it.
Good for L.A. Noire. Not bad for a game with no multiplayer component. For some people I know, that is a deal breaker.
In light of what people have done to Sony over the last few weeks, I would be shocked if they allow any type of homebrew access to any Sony system ever. Too much at stake and too much bad blood against the hombrew and hacker communities. I'll bet their next system is going to be so locked down (to anyone but legit developers), it will be ridiculous.
Devs are already bitching about lost sales due to the free games Sony is giving away. I can only imagine what they'll s...
@firstkn1ght
Microsoft is steadily losing ground this gen when they had a first year with no competition from Sony or Nintendo. Kinect gave them a sales bump but, in the long run, Microsoft can't keep up. Right now, Sony and Microsoft are fighting for #2 this gen but the gap continues to get smaller. What excuse does Microsoft have for being outsold by a system that was once $200 more and released a year later?
@Max_Dissatisfaction
I hope you READ the ARTICLE before BLATANTLY ignoring its contents. Microsoft is slowly in decline and not the juggernaut it once was.

"The online services unit, which runs the Bing search engine and MSN web portal, had a loss of $726 million last quarter and has now lost $7 billion in four years."
Too many games coming out toward the end of the year to run out and buy this. Battlefield 3, Assassins Creed, Twisted Metal, Uncharted 3, Arkham City. Call of Duty can wait.
If I buy it at all, it won't be on day 1 or new. Activision can kick rocks.
No need to hang your head. I liked Medal of Honor's single player campaign a hell of a lot more than Black Ops. Barely touched the multiplayer but I still own the game and dumped Black Ops within a week.
Sony told devs it would be up on the 24th. Users haven't been given an update probably because everytime they set a date, something happened and they had to delay it.
Allegedly, May 24.

But isn't Move support is always optional in the games that weren't specifically designed for it?
Except for this article that says otherwise...
Besides do the math:
$60 for the game
plus $60 yearly for Xbox Live
plus $15 per map pack
plus $8-9 a month for whatever this optional service is
