It also looks like a game trying WAY too hard to be cool. Kinda like the first Forza Horizon IMO.
MS has every right to shift over exclusively to Scorpio IF the demand is there. Right now XB1 just isn't taking off. It's not falling flat like Wii U or anything, but if Scorpio takes off and you have devs and players alike who want their monies worth out of Scorpio, it only makes sense for MS to make Scorpio even more enticing by trying to get XB1 owners who are on the fence to make the leap. Especially if gaming can advance through Scorpio instead of being held back. I know it sound...
This has scam written all over it as every single comparison video I've ever seen regarding different hard drives reveal that SSD speed bumps are negligible at best on consoles. Why would this be different? Just use that money you'd spend on this and quadruple your storage space. Sure, it might take your games 2 seconds longer to load, but you'll have 4x's the games.
Wait huh? "Sony has a messaging problem." ... First line of article: "The PlayStation 4 Pro is currently doing well, if reports are to be believed. Apparently, the pre-orders for the system are beyond what Sony expected, which seems to indicate that the system is on track to do well."
What's the point of a "Publisher of the Year" award? IMO the best publishers are the ones that fund the game and then fade into the night as they let the devs do their thing, uninterrupted or pressured.
This game never sells appropriately for the acclaim it gets. Meanwhile Driveclub gets beaten down pretty badly in reviews and (initial) reception and yet sells millions.
Cartridges mean no installs, run the game off the cartridge and write to the cartridge for save games. Less capacity needed on the console itself. It's a smart move.
I've been on both sides of this: a PC gamer and console gamer. I won't tell people what to buy or how to feel... I Just know that I got tired of having a very expensive gaming PC that I built and always feeling jipped. Whether it was not getting a game at all or getting a ton of poorly ported, horribly optimzed games, I eventually realized what a waste of time and money PCs were and that it wasn't worth it. At least not these days.
Sounds like Nintendo aren't sure about their own system. If recent rumors are true and the system is barely on par with a PS4 (slightly less) then they're going to be having the exact same issues they've been having since the Wii. No gimmicks are going to help a severely underpowered system. Why won't they learn?
I miss Uncle Jack. E3's just haven't been the same without him.
I think what they mean by end of console generations probably means: whatever new system is coming out won't require you to upgrade to all new stuff. But the lowest common denominator will change as we go forward, it just won't be limited to the latest sytem.
For example:
Xbox one & scorpio work together.
Scorpio and Gen 5 xbox will work together, however you won't be able to play Gen 5 games on XBO. You will, however,...
Common theme these days.
Too bad this stuff can't make it to the launch version when most of the fans are... you know... playing the game.
Something tells me this statement is simply an open call to see if demand is there. If there's outcry, I bet we'll see something.
Let's see xbox sell.... anything at all in the next year. The closer we get to scorpio, the fewer xbox ones will sell. first 3/4 of 2017 might be absolutely abysmal for Xbox brand with scorpio nearing and PS4 Pro offering a higher end console experience.
Agreed 100%. It tells me they aren't filling the game with needless padding or bland open worlds to suck up aimless hours. It will be direct and paced well, like the first.
homogenization for games, gamers AND now developers.
I wish we could purchase them separately :/ I just want to revisit the first game right now.
It's the same series. Changing the name MIGHT draw some eyes, but when 2K games are still evolved from the SvR games...that were evolved from the SD games... then why? Besides, WWE 2K is simple and clean.
That's the new method of release. Release what you have on PC for launch with console versions so it's all out on day 1, then (maybe) go back and optimize the PC version post launch.
