It has the recipe for success for sure. This will likely serve as the gateway for millions to get into VR and, for many, will lead to them investing in better hardware eventually. I think the PS VR will be the most important VR product for that reason.

True. But I think we've all seen how this situation plays out. The one that costs less and is "easier" (because let's face it, psvr will have an easier setup than other VR) will be the most appealing to consumers.
As a proud member of the PCMR, even I have to admit I'm more intrigued by the PSVR atm simply because I JUST built a new rig for about $800 and cannot justify spending basically that much more AGAIN right now. Eventually? yes. But now? PSVR.
This is a rare case of watching a franchise go the complete wrong way (Absolution) and then getting to watch it go back to greatness. The episodic part is a bummer, but if that's bugging you the disc will be out early 2017.

You guys act as if they were working all these beloved franchsies. They weren't. They were suck in the mud doing dead-end games for MS. Now that they've been let go, they'll probably be MORE likely to develop the kind of games they should've been developing in the first place.
