I don't think you get it. You're thinking like a fanboy. They're not trying to move more consoles by doing this. They've said many times "xbox" is no longer limited to a single box. It's more of a service. They're trying to sell GAMES by doing this. Games cost money to make. The more games they sell, the more ROI they get back. They're taking advantage of the fact that they can push their new OS (Windows 10) on PCs by making it...
If all the people I've seen/heard about streaming themselves on their PS4 sitting in their living room looking at the comments... doing literally nothing... is any indication, I'd say I believe this.
I think MS is seeing that they're going to lose the battle of the consoles. At this point it's about selling the games you're investing your money in. Why limit your game to a console when you make the OS people will use on PC to play your game?
Oh me too. good on those who wait for full release but honestly, since the first hitman, I always replayed levels over and over anyway. Episodic will do. Not ideal, but it'll do.
I'm sorry but I'll take a game that's fully episodic yet done RIGHT over a complete game that's been watered down and mishandled greatly. I wish it was a full release, but with so many games getting shafted by focusing on casuals, this isn't the worst thing.

It's true. They get off on games being 100% exclusive. Makes them feel special (the player, not the game).
It's more about brand loyalty than actually playing games, you see.

Said by two totally different groups of people.
First group doesn't want to waste money on an underpowered system. Also a great game gets the chance to reach a much much larger audience.
Second group are sheep to their brand and want everything on one single box so they can add it to their lists of exclusive they go around posting to compete with the other brand.
I really enjoyed the beta. Played it on PC, XBO & PS4 and the experience was great on all 3.
