The thing is that while on paper MS has many studios, mismanagement and early announcements with video instead of gameplay trailers, killed the hype.
And the caliber of games announced, with few exceptions, has been luckastre.
Dont forget that we are already in the third year of the console cycle and we have only seen very few exclusives thus far (13 in total many of which were third party or may be timed)
All the promising upcoming g...
@Mr.Ninosan
That is not entirely true.
Psygnosis bought in 1993, developed games for PC mega drive and saturn along with playstation
Guerilla developed games for game boy color and xbox, playstation pc prior to being acquired
Zipper Interactive was developing mainly pc games before being bought by Sony for developing Socom
Haven also, did not have a special relationship with Sony

@The3faces:
There is no need for such a comment - igniting the fanboy flame without merit in an article about an Xbox game.
In addition it was Sony who kicked off next gen with games like Rachet and Clank and Demon Souls remake (true next gen exclusives) next to cross gen games.
Even their cross gen games look stunning by any standard (give credit where credit is due)
No idea and I am sorry this happened
I hear you brother. No time to play all games coming out.
We are being spoiled. Everybody I know has a backlog of dozens games at least
Ok as a major fan of single player horror games, if this game does indeed support solo play (which it seems it does), it will be great.
This gameplay video without commentary, clearly illustrates the atmosphere which seems to be spot on

I am going to have a blast with this.
According to the developers Q&A, the campa...
It is evidently that you have no idea what you are talking about.
This was not the first open world Zelda either.
It introduced many new elements to the series, it created a living world (all those who say that the world was barren, have clearly not played the game), the physics engine was unsurpassed and the gameplay was amazing.
It lacked story and introduced a faulty mechanic (weapon breaking), but the depth of the game was simply on...
This is a weak argument by all accounts by MS.
Acquiring Activision does not make sense nor does it benefit the gamer for reasons already analyzed exhaustively in this site.
It would be preferable to use the money to hire talent, correctly manage existing studios (which are more than enough by the way, and increase developer count in order to increase game output per studio for creating new IPs.
In 2021 it was announced on Steam that is sold 5 million copies.
There were no xbox one numbers announced.
The headline claims that Xbox One has more players than PC port, however we do not know how many of those actually bought it to compare.
On December 2021 it was announced that it had sold 5 million copies on Steam (do not know the Xbox One numbers).
They also announced a total of 25 million players at that time
https://www.seaofthieves.co...
During the 7th season they announced a total of 30 million players (again, not sales).
So it is safe to say that the game did rather w...
I thought PS fans did not care for Bugthesda games. Now that their revered company says they care, they flock around to support this.
Regardless of the hypocrisy, Sony is right in not wanting for the deal to go through.
It will damage players in the long run for too many reasons to state here.
Hope the acquisition gets blocked.
Kirby Dreamland 2 here I come ! This one lasts longer too. First one took me 25 minutes to beat (lol)
The fact that people downvote for saying that contracts always have specific duration (something that has been a golden standard for contractual obligations), blows me away.
Sony fanboys (pretty sure MS fanboys would argue the same if the positions were switched) arguing that a deal should be offered on a lifetime basis, is on another lever of ignorance.
But hey, we gotta get those likes after all
The simple answer is that not how business deals work.
There are multiple reasons contracts that set a specific duration.
I would argue that RE 4 had lost of horror/scary moments.
First encounter with Ganados was at the very least unsettling as the game pit you against human resembling enemies, (not zombies).
Encounters with bitores mendez was simply amazing and horrific.
Regenerators were scary as hell.
Yes, action sequences were more frequent, but retained horror elements (Giant Salamander for instance) and were perfectly executed.

Virtuos' work on switch ports has been amazing thus far.
Games like Dark Souls: Remastered, L.A. Noire and BioShock: The Collection, Dying Light, run great on Switch.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas still impresses me today on Switch.
With that in mind, it saddens me to hear that they messed up Outer Worlds Spacer Edition so badly.
I hope they fix this soon
This is partially true. But money without a strategy wont cut it.
They invested in games (Sega collaboration) and had the foresight to buy Bungie to develop Halo for them as release title (initially it was to be released for Mac).
Without games, the console would have flopped either way. Sega's library added driving games (Sega GT and Project Gotham Racing 1-4) and shooters as well as arcade ports.
Xbox was also the most powerful c...
Sega's failure with Dreamcast (my favorite console btw), allowed MS to enter the console market with great support as they managed to secure release of many Sega games to their new console.
With the help of Sega, they released a console that was eventually supported with many games such as Panzer Dragoon Orta, Sega GT, Jet Set Radio Future, Crazy Taxi 3, House of the Dead 3 to name but a few.
This allowed for Microsoft to solidify its position in th...
Cant really argue with any of that! well said
@edeprez: you are literally creating arguments in your head that I did not initiate or discuss.
I am replying to Mr.Ninosan who said that apart from Bungie, all the other studios acquired Sony acquired worked exclusively with Sony which is evidently not the case.
Most of them yes (that is why I said partially true) but not all.
With regards to the acquisition, I am against it as I previously pointed out in numerous articles, given tha...
