Nintendo wants a energy efficient (15w), small sized handheld with a low entry level price, capable of utilizing Nintendo's first party stylized games as well as capable of playing third party games at an acceptable level (if it manages to score native ports of Final Fantasy games for instance it will be a big win for N).

Trine 4 was rather good actually! They had a bundle for all 4 on Switch. Pretty sure its available on other plarfrorms as well.
As I played them all together starting with 1, I agree that 3 was by far the worst.

Switch is by far my most played console ever due to the timing it was released.
I gifted all my consoles in 2016 to nephews when my kid was born because I could not occupy the living room for gaming any more and then came switch which changed everything.
