Amazing! My Steam Deck library of Sony masterpieces grows by the day!

I dont regret my decision to stay with Switch & Steam deck.

I will upgrade to switch 2 & Lenovo Legion Go next year to keep up with the demanding games.

I wish they could release a PC port of Ghosts of Tsushima though.

Just leave it to rest Obscure.

It is now abundantly clear that MS, given time and permission, would buy most third party publishers in order to outspend and remove the competition.

If this is something that you feel its ok or business as usual, then unfortunately you are not as genuine gamer as you claim to be.

It is in our best interest to stop these practices as the consolidation of the market will lock many people into ecosystems a...

We must be sensible with our expectations. Nintendo wants a energy efficient (15w), small sized handheld with a low entry level price, capable of utilizing Nintendo's first party stylized games as well as capable of playing third party games at an acceptable level (if it manages to score native ports of Final Fantasy games for instance it will be a big win for N).

I predict that it will have Steamdeck level power but with better battery and efficiency as well as few tri...

White subscriptions are -for the time being- convenient for some people and an option, given the situation in other markets (video, music, movies even car industry, phone apps), everything is moving into a subscription only future.

Even the photo apps I downloaded in the past for a few euros for the full unlock, are now locked under a subscription model that would have cost me numerous times the asking price (let alone the lack of ownership).

This is not ...

Dont believe the hype; this is actually one of the worst horror games I played the last 5 years.

Not that particularly scarly, nothing original and non existent background music.

There are much better horror games out there in my humble opinion

finished all 4 but solo. Still good games (3 deviated a lot from the formula however). I took some great screenshots while playing them on switch. Superb looking 2d game and great physics system

Trine 4 was rather good actually! They had a bundle for all 4 on Switch. Pretty sure its available on other plarfrorms as well.

As I played them all together starting with 1, I agree that 3 was by far the worst.

Trine 4 was really good shadow theme and spiced things up.

Barebones article in my opinion. I remember back in 2000 I used to read lengthy video game articles with great content, arguments and information whereas now two-three generic paragraphs count as an article.

In any case I am happy about the resurgence of horror games this year (one of the best ever) and for the release of Zelda.

On the other hand we had too many broken releases which is fastly becoming a trend

I really understand what you are saying.

However I must object to this part of your comment "Indies are great an all and I've enjoyed my fair share but seriously they are all meteoidvanias these days anyway"

I have played literally dozens of indie games that are amazing and at the same time are not metroidvanias.

To name but a few

Please trust me on this. I played this on Switch and it was glorious. The artistic style was so unique that any bump in processing power would not make that much of a difference.

It was really a good horror game (first encounter with the haystack creature was amazing) and the atmosphere was really good (same with graphics).

My point is that anyone can enjoy this game even if he chooses to play it on lower end console such as a Switch. There is really no...

Switch is by far my most played console ever due to the timing it was released.

I gifted all my consoles in 2016 to nephews when my kid was born because I could not occupy the living room for gaming any more and then came switch which changed everything.

For the second time in my life I had a hybrid console (the first being Sega Nomad) and it really increased my gaming time as I could afford to play anywhere.

With so many party and fam...

There are other games that have sold well.

Newest 3d Kirby sold over 6 million copies (rightfully so-amazing game).
Sonic Frontiers sold over 3.5 million copies.
Psychonauts was also Double Fine's best selling game
Crash Bandicoot Trilogy reportedly sold over 10 million copies
Same for It Takes Two (10 million copies).

I believe there is a market there, especially for a game carrying the legacy of Banzo.

@Witchcraft
Well I already mentioned 4 studios that are having troubles (major ones as well).

So at the very least there is a pattern here.

And as regards the ones i "left out", we are witnessing a delay in their releases from many of those studios.

I simply did not have links to share about specific mismanagement issues but their output is very limited.

For instance Coalition announced t...

It really is.

Their output of exclusive games for 2023 is also impressive with 13 exclusive games to be released in total for 2023.

Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot
1-2 Switch Between
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza And The Lost Demon
Pikmin 4

Lol, I am lost for words. Perhaps they should stop commenting and get to work.

Too many studios to manage, many IPs, no output.

@Witchcraft:

It seems that you conveniently left out of your response the management of studios argument.

In fact I mentioned twice the need for better studio management

QUOTE
"If MS wants to compete, it has the resources to do so by nurturing and managing existing studios and set up new ones.

They already have the studios and the IPs. All they need to do is manage them correctly to increase their conte...
