You can play all MS games and very few of PS 5 games (Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Returnal, Spiderman Remastered & soon Rachet and Clank) as there are native pc ports.
You can also play older ps4 games on it such as Days Gone, Death Stranding, Last of us part 1, God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Competition is certainly a good thing! If the Crew Motorfest turns out to be good, Playground will be forced to up the ante and allow more development time for the next iteration as the Horizon series were getting somewhat stale.
Funny this is that the QLOC's port of Hellblade on Switch, was amazing graphically (given the limitations of the hardware that is).
I was amazed by the graphics, lighting and scenes and I couldnt stop taking photos with photo mode.
My only issue is with the next game (and I suspect that most people will agree on this), is that we have not seen much gameplay (few actual gameplay seconds back at Game Awards 2021).

Devolver Digital and Annapurna Interactive should both be praised for the games selected for publishing as it provides those unique experiences the necessary exposure required.

Played the demo and loved the atmosphere.
I believe you are right about the Source 2 engine. Black Mesa remake powered by Source engine, even though third party, was fantastic but it did seem very dated at times.
If you are after a more modern iteration of this fantasic game, I highly suggest that you play Black Mesa (third-party remake of Half-Life made in the Source game engine).
The graphics are not top notch but they greatly enhance the experience (especially in the alien world) and the effects added are very nice.
I had a blast playing this on Steam Deck and it was a much better experience than playing vanilla Half Life 1
Xbox has failed 2 Gens in a row to provide a decent catalogue of first party games.
One would excuse one generation (Xbox One) but not 2.
They launched Xbox Series X without first party exclusives, their first party when finally released were sub par and the third party games perform mostly better on PS5 despite the claimed power lever difference.
Therefore I fail to see how one game (Starfield) which is an unproven IP...

I used to read Edge from 2000 until 2014 and I found my self disagreeing with many of their scores but that its just my opinion.
Out of 24 perfect scores, 8 of them have been awarded to Nintendo games, 4 of which Zelda games.
So its pretty evident that they like Zelda games.

Nintendo being Nintendo. That is why I always buy games on sale (except Tear of the Kingdom which was a gifted to me). Regretfully these are not as frequent and do not include all first party games (only select titles each time).

If you dont like Nintendo Games then Switch is definitely not for you. It was was not advertised as a triple A third party console.
However its exclusive offerings are of very high quality and some of those games are stellar and critically acclaimed. Certainly not mid at best as you put it if you look at metacritic numbers.

I did not know anything about this game to be honest. After watching some gameplay videos however, I can honestly say I am interested.
Since this is not a demanding game, I will pass on Steam Deck version and buy this on Switch. Unless of course steam sales are more appealing
