While that is true, Nomad was an amazing handheld which I greatly enjoyed, and holds a special place in my heart.

I would definitely include it in this list.

I remember connecting it to my tv and playing Vector Man and Comix Zone and I was astounded by the fact that this was a handheld device

I really like how this game looks. Wishlisted and await for its release

I agree that is why I specifically wrote about "extra features from the controller".

Still there are many games that support haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on PC, so the point remains.

For some people it is simply not worth investing on a console if you have a PC that plays nearly the same games as the PC and even partially supports dualsense.

PSVR 2 however is another story. I personally believe it is worth it and So...

I have to agree with you on this one. It was inevitable.

Its Nintendo we are talking after all- they keep the prices of their first party games the same throughout their lifespan and they charge you again for a remaster

(not even a remake-i.e Zelda skyward Sword, Pokken Tournament, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore to name but a few)

Well they are not wrong. If the deal goes through, the can of worms will be opened.

There is enough game studio consolidation already, no reason to speed things up.

MS has enough studios as it is. If only they could manage them as well

I have this game sitting on my library for far too long. I really have to launch the game sometime as I here great things about it

Not all people are willing to pay for an extra  500$ console if they already have a PC, to play games (already or coming to PC) just enjoy extra features from the controller of their preference (you can use dualsense for steam games).
Or shell an additional 550$ usd for VR.  These are not options that everyone has.
If you already have both, then you can choose the games based on the friends list or other factors that you mentioned.
In your reply you are ta...

You completely disregarded all the games announced for Xbox for 2023.

The article is about people who have XBOX, not PC.

It is obvious that if you have a capable PC, you dont need XBOX.

However do you feel the same about Playstation?

Julien Chièze, Head of PlayStation Studios has clearly mentioned that all live service games will come to PC same day as Playstation.

Finished this on switch and it was an amazing port. Even utilized a more modern version of unity for the switch port according to DF and it was buttery smooth and responsive. Great game

This lineup is actually good (assuming Metroid makes it this year).

Bear in mind that Nintendo's February direct usually demonstrates titles for the first half of the year (so in addition to few of the above titles, expect first and third party surprises).

On September the usual Direct will take place featuring games for the next six months, so a few surprises there as well.

Nintendo consistently releases many games each year, so I...

Seems interesting. Eerie atmosphere, great audio and effective use of lighting. I like what I see. Still this is pre alpha footage.

I recently finished this on Steam Deck and I must say this was a joyful ride! The game respected the lore and the design was quite good. Waiting for the sequel now!

ok here's my take on this:

Every gaming generation, our position as gamers worsens

early release titles without content

full priced games with micro transactions

shady DLCs which could have been included in the main game but was kept for increased sales

increased game prices

bug ridden games released at higher rate

online connectivity for single player ...

@obscure: oh jesus, you are beyond saving mate.

Your fanboyism is off the charts.

If MS buys Activision, more acquisitions will take place as the market will react.

This effectively means that all former multiplat titles will be locked to specific ecosystems and the only option will be to buy numerous consoles (or PC).

In any case, I hope you enjoy your favorite console now, because the future looks grim with all this...

You mean like God of War (2018), Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted Collection, Spiderman, Spiderman Miles Morales, Kena bridge of spirits, Days Gone, Death Stranding and soo to launch Last of Us part 1, Returnal and Sackboy A Big Adventure?

Much obliged for your insightful reply!

I am willing to give it a try again despite numerous failures thus far (even static museum VR tours on mobile phone headsets disorient me after a few seconds).
