First of all, I am not trying to have a fight with you. All opinions are welcome and we are having what I believe is a difference in points of view.

Having said that.

343 who works on Halo does not own Halo IP

Playground studio who works on fable does not own the IP

The initiative does not own perfect dark IP

So nothing is absolute here. It only matters where you dra...

Out of those examples, only Psygnosis, as they made wipeout 3 and wipeout fusion exclusive to Sony Systems.

But you are the one who is cherry picking here.

Because those studios would have created multi platform games if not for Sony. You cant simply protest about future IPs that xbox bought studios will create and leave studios that Sony buys out of the equation.

Because this way we will have to protest ...

@lodossrage
To be fair:

Psygnosis bought in 1993, developed games for PC mega drive and saturn along with playstation

Guerilla developed games for game boy color and xbox, playstation pc prior to being acquired

Zipper Interactive was developing mainly pc games before being bought by Sony for developing Socom

Haven also, did not have a special relationship with Sony and published mutliplatform game prior to b...

I would argue that if they managed their studios better and invested for more teams inside each studio, with the list of IPs that they have, they could easily apply pressure on Sony AND refrained from disrupting the industry as they keep taking away multi platform games from other consoles.

They already own tons of IP may of which have not been announced as under development:

Killer Instinct
Banjo-Kazooie
Crimson Skies
Rise of N...

Well there is no way to defend this. Here's hoping Xbox fanboys realize what's at stake here.

MS entry to console space was very beneficial at that time as it gave Sony some competition and brought us Hard Disc as standard on consoles and Arcade Live and Xbox Live, but after 360, things turned out to be to the detriment of gamers.

Always online DRM policies, forced kinect, multiple timed exclusives, aggressive microtransactions, buying up publishe...

When 3DS was about to be left behind, the Nintendo direct showed mostly spin offs and secondary games such as Warioware Gold, Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story, Detective Pikachu, Kibys Extra Yarn etc.

This years June Direct had the same vibe. Mostly remakes, remasters and fillers until the end of 2023 and two games teased for 2024 but again not major ones (Luigis Mansion Darkmoon remaster & Princess Peach).

We also know that sales are now lower an...

Funny story: Fable 3 had a funny way of keeping the promises you made in the first half of the game and having enough money to defeat the darkness.

You only had to collect enough money to buy 2 stores in a busy market district. You then raise the prices to maximum and you turn xbox 360 internal clock 99 or more years ahead.

The next time you load the game, all the rents from the 99 years are collected immediately.

But yes I agree that 3...

System Shock, Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 turned out to be good. Amnesia is also receiving some good reviews.

Callisto Protocol not so much.

One of the better announcements of the Direct.

I really like the art style

While I love Nintendo games, it is now abundantly clear that the system is at the end of its life cycle.

Nintendo seems to be running out of ideas as we are now seeing 2nd wario game this gen, second 1-2 switch game (announced prior to the direct), 3rd Mario 2d, and more remakes.

They have already exhausted all other franchises (Kirby got 4 games! Smash Bros & Mario Kart can not get another game this gen, Pokemon got numerous releases, Xenoblade show...

Seriously what's with these articles? MS should not be praised but criticised for years of draught.

Every single year this happens and it really does not make sense, nor does it benefit Xbox gamers as it creates an illusion of abundance.

You are certainly more sensible than most fanboys here in N4G. Competition is indeed a good thing

Well the first 2 were not difficult either as they were bordering on walking simulator category.

The fact that you cant change the darkness setting is however a big no no in horror games

Ok to be honest, i felt that this was just an ok showcase. Dont get me wrong. For the first time I saw focus on single player games which I prefer.

Avowed
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
MS Flight Simulator
South of Midnight
Clockwork Revolution
Fable

All seemingly single player experiences. However almost no gameplay was shown which was a real bummer.

Hellblade should have shown more in game f...
