Copy arrives tomorrow, cant wait!
BOTW was my favorite game on Switch and this seems to be an improvement as they used powers to alleviate the inconvenience that they climbing and weapon breaking brought to the game.
Nintendo's game design especially in Zelda games is top notch. So many details and interactions due to its physics engine to be discovered.
2023 is the year of big games in horror and is expected to be my favorite year all around as horror is my preferred genre.
Alan Wake 2
RE4 Remake
Callisto Protocol
Alone in the Dark Remake
Sherlock Holmes the Awakened
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Dead Space Remake
System Shock remake
Amnesia the Bunker
Layers of Fears
Stalker 2
and many promising titles such as Shame Legacy...
I recently finished Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and found it to be very enjoyable.
The game respected the lore and the gameplay was quite decent.
The color palette was a bit underwhelming (backdrops and setting) and recycled but I think that it deserved better.
Here's hoping for an amazing sequel
Well to be honest, i havent played that many current gen games on the platform.
Some examples of games that I have played are as follows (if that helps):
The Ascent: I play at high settings 30 fps 720p (floats around 27-30)
God of War (2018 game): medium settings 720p solid 30 fps
Resident Evil 2-3 remake: medium settings solid 30fps, 720p
Jedi fallen order: medium settings solid 30fps, 720p but could go much higher on fps on l...
Well to be honest, this just proves to me that Steam deck was a wise investment.
I already have access to many Sony and MS games and now I am expecting even more.
Good times for PC gamers all around
Couldnt agree more.
They have the studios and the resources, they just need to start managing them correctly so that they can finally have a respectable output of quality exclusives like Sony and Nintendo does.
Come on MS, its for the best. Those games should remain multi platform (even if when the deal was announced, certain console fans stated that they never liked those games anyway).
MS should use those funds to
1) first manage its studios so that they can release on acceptable rate quality games, no Redfall or Halo fiasco)
2) grow studios in size so that they can develop 2-3 games per studio
3) buy 1-2 studios only that deve...
Well in some instances the developers are to be blamed.
For instance games like
adam venture originstown of light agony, pokemon scarlet, parasomnia verum
are really terribly optimized ports and there is no excuse as the switch can handle far more demanding games than those.
Then we have ps3/xbox 360 era games which run amazing on switch (ghostbusters, sniper elite, crysis games, metro last light,resi...
Dragonis previous game, the Shore, was brimming with Lovecraftian lore and Mythos (more than any game I have seen thus far.
It was pure fan service and the graphics were rather good for an indie solo developer game.
However I am sceptical about this one as there is a huge competition out there for co-op horror games.
Here's hoping
@IamTylerdurnen1
ok first of all, stating that you own xbox, does not immediately remove your comment history throughout the years which is pretty damning (sony fanboyism all around).
Its like saying that Orchard, who has proved that he owns a playstation, is not an xbox fanboy.
I have been visiting this website since 2013 so I am somewhat familiar with the regulars here.
In regards to your comment abou...
@IamTylerDurden1:jesus fanboy, go play your favorite plastic sony box and let ppl be hyped for this game.
It is not like Xbox has many exclusive games.
You dont have to downplay everything that does not align with your view.
completely agree. Seems a bit generic and forgettable.
On similar note, I am mostly waiting for

To be fair Bramble is on my wishlist - upvoted you for this.
Having said that, the article listed the site's top pickings. And as you admitted most people would go for the titles recommended in this article.
Origami King was a pleasant surprise. My daughter insisted of me buying it for her and it turned out that it was a good decision.
We had a blast.
The world was masterfully crafted with cute characters, story and great graphics.
It requires lots of time mind you to actually finish the game
I think Nintendo carefully stroke a balance here by preserving the mechanics of the previous games but subtly giving you the option to alleviate the frustration with the new abilities that it introduces.
In case in point, ascend helps you avoid in some instances the stamina based climbing, whereas the fuse ability on the one hand allows you to strengthen durability and power of weapon by using simple materials and on the other hand to have easy access to weapons at any give...
@chonoforce: exactly this! Just because a game runs at 30fps on 720p resolution, it does not mean that it cant be a masterpiece.
BOTW was certainly a highly enjoyable, complex, full of secrets and amazing physics engine game with a breathtaking open world.
Better graphics does not equate a better game. So many open world games on more powerful hardware failed to match Zelda's quality (Just Cause 4, Assassin Creed games, Watchdogs, Far Cry, Forspoken...
At least Project Gotham has not been forgotten this time!
Doom 3 was also an impossible port and fun to this day (1080p 60fps on Switch revisited and had a blast).
Far Cry instinct also impressed graphically

Jade Empire was also very good
Hellblade will most likely be released in 2023. I believe that only Hi Fi Rush was omitted.
Sony list of games seems more appealing at this point.
My take on this is as follows:
I have a switch since its release and a Steam Deck for 10 months now.
While Steam Deck is a clear winner in the graphics department, with access to Sony, PC and Xbox games as well as better joysticks, it is simply not that accessible or easy to use.
With Steam Deck I have over 10 games that while playable according to Steam, can not be played on the Deck for many reasons (control schemes not supported by c...
