Sorry but, that is as obvious as saying there will be a Halo 4. The titles next year will sell the PS3. Yes maybe Sony should have made more effort for this year, but I have 21 PS3 titles on blu-ray alone. Another 10 off the PSN.

I can only say why I did. I had never really had any problems with the previous consoles. I also knew Sony would not turn its back on the console when it had had its run and whilst the other consoles may have some stand out games IMO Sony has the best variety.

IMO each game should be considered by its own merits. How long it plays does not matter if you are going to play it over and over. It is one thing to complete Heavenly Sword and another to perfect it.

To me it is a bit of dumb statement. GT5: prologue, Haze, UT3, Drake's Fortune and Ratchet and Clank will all shift a few consoles this holiday console. I do think the 360 will outsell the PS3 this holiday season, however not by that many.
IMO both companies are to blame. Neither have really wanted to handle the PS3 version. I know I for one will hire this title first. I know the PS3 is harder to develop for. But Resistance, Uncharted and Warhawk have all proved what a game can look like with a little effort and all 3 play on the PS3 with ease.
IMO whilst Resident Evil games have been pretty good, it is the Silent Hill games that have been un-nerving. Not to say I have not jumped a time or two on Resident Evil, but some of the stuff on Silent Hill has been more.
This is a day one purchase and nothing will change my mind on that.

The PS3 fans will declare victory for selling as many consoles with the higher price and not being available in pal teritories for nearlly 6 months.
The 360 fans will declare victory for there was a shortage at the beginning and the PS3 is no closer to the 360 overall sales figures.

If EA had said this, I may have thought no way.... But Square/Enix?? If one company will push the PS3, this is the company. I know their games are not to everyones taste, but there is no denying, this could be the big thing that pushes the PS3.
All I know is, I want this game bad and it is going to be one of if not the best game of this past year.
Sorry but, I lose some intrest in most games now. Not because the story is bad, just that they borrow from other games and media.
If they made this as a free roaming action adventure, just as with the Amstrad / Spectrum / Commodore - a selection of equipment and the game never really finished (it just had a password for you to get the same money) the game would be worth its weight in gold.

They seem to think every game should justify the price difference between the consoles. One game never will and yet still they find fault in everything released on the PS3 like every game should be perfect and 40 hours long.
This is just proof that maybe Sony should just do more demo's on the PSN and not send out games for review.
Look back at most adventure games and they are 6-10 hours long each, look back far enough and Resident Evil games for the PS1 were clockable in around 2 hours if you know what ur doing.

People want to be sure that the software will be there for a console. It is Sony's second Christmas in NA and Japan, Sony's first in Europe. The price is about right for some people right now and some of the games are showing what the PS3 can do.
This year will be a strong showing for the PS3, it maybe outsold by the other companies, but not by as much as people were touting this past summer.
The real sales will start when MGS 4, FF XIII, Killzone 2 and GT5 come ...

And whilst I feel that way about Microsoft, I do think that to say that they are turning their back on the 360 is stupid at best. I do think they will think twice about a new console if Sony catches them up and overtakes them in the next 6months, but IMO that wont happen.

But how many kids games are / have been aimed at kids for the 360 or PS3? The Wii has been the only system thus far that has. Now some of the games kids enjoy are starting to be released / are being announced for the PS3.
I know that if you want a system for your children the Wii is the way to go, but once the kids start to see Ratchet and Clank, I know a few of them will be asking for a brand spanking new PS3 because the graphics look nice and their friend Jason already has on...
I think it will hold its own for another 6 months. Then the games for the PS3 and 360 will be above and beyond what a Wii could ever dream of, with Ratchet and Clank already out and Jak and Daxter on the way kids will want the newer better graphics and the newer games.
IMO Nintendo has done exceptional, it has proved the critics wrong and exceded what everyone though possible. It still has its place for another 2 years, but kids want what they want and now at whatever price it ...
I own Assassins Creed and have suffered no frame rate or crashing issues. I only use SD so weither or not it is a HD problem or not I do not know.
