This yet again maybe another reason to own the PS3. Slightly like Sims, with playable arcade games and other stuff (pool, bowling etc).

Personally not had the problem all weekend. It played fine from the get go.
I think it is all in the timing, no good too soon after its released or early adopters willl want some money back. Summer is no good as people go on holiday with the family not buy a console for $400 no matter how good it is. Fall and especially winter is the time, the run up to Christmas is prime time for the drop.
With all the exclusives out, Ratchet & Clank for the kids, with Sing Star and possible Eye Toy 2 / Time Crisis 4 with Gun Sony could make a good chunk of the 1...
Why when Rainbow 6: Vegas comparison was put up last week did 360 owners tell us PS3 owners just to accept the inevitable that the 360 would always look better and just get used to it.

For the one game no, for what is out before Christmas yes. The PS3 will last 7 years at least, I know the $200 was worth it. When they start filling Blu-Ray disks with larger games with unrepetative scenery I will also know it was worth it. I am not knocking other consoles neither, but that is why I chose the PS3.
This game is slightly better on the PS3, but come on the 360 has had it all one way till now.

Couple of things to think about:
If they don't want Blu-Ray / HD-DVD to win. Then does that mean that the next XBox systems games will still be on DVD? If so how many disks per game?
Or if they go in the direction of download, how big is the Hard-Drive gonna have to be? I mean how big will the Hard-Drive be if games are a standard 25gig?
I just hope that they think it through before they decide on the format of the games.
Sony has / is learning from its mistakes. The service is improving all the time. Updates are also being made all the time to the system and the games.
I agree Sony has been bashed by the press, but how many of them really play games anyway?? Maybe some of the computer magazines writters do, but considering The Sun newspaper (UK) gave Happy feet 4.5 / 5 on PS2 I think I might leave it to some people who actually play games.

I am gonna be so broke this fall, every demo I see it gets more smoother and graphically better, this game is a must.

Yes it looks kinda like a cross breed of God Of War and Dynasty Warriors, but I like both of those games and know I will be playing this game for quite a while.
For me, both version look good, but I do wish they would make the comparisons from the same angles or at least close. Most of the 360 shots seem to be from further away than the PS3 shots (from the window, items etc).
Whilst I accept the fact that the PS3 games can suffer from jaggy's I do have to put some of it down to poor programming.
But for me it is the gameplay that matters, so pick up your control pad of choice and play.
Would be nice to see them all return, but please leave the movement in 2D? Make the graphics how you want, but please everything is not good in 3D.
I would say the sales with little or very few titles on the market, the PS3 has done quite well for itself.
This year is a hard year to call, both PS3 and 360 have AAA titles on the horizon. Out of the 2, on US soil FPS do better than Japan, but both consoles have decent FPS coming out.
On the flip side, with the games such as Heavenly Sword and Folklore the PS3 looks like it will finally get the sales going in Japan and Europe.

Sorry but don't see alot new with Halo 3, most of the fans of Halo already have a 360. I do hope however it is a good game, because next years FPS will be amazing if KZ2 / Halo 3 are that damn good.
The trouble with alot of reviews is they always compare games of the same genre and/or cross system. I just want to know how the game plays, nice graphics are a bonus, but gameplay and multi-player options are more important.

I have seen many people on this site stating they would buy a PS3 when the good games start coming out.

This IS one of the games I bought the PS3 for. Every new preview has looked better both graphically and gameplay.
I think this will shift a few systems, not just because it looks nice, but it show cases what the PS3 can do.
I hold nothing against any of the next-gen systems. I have many friends with 360's who are happy with their purchase, only one of them won't buy a PS3 at a price drop.

I think they will take around $200 off the price. If they have a good E3 (Killzone 2 Present and playable) and the main exclusives of this year out before the price cut (Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Lair ETC), they could finish the year quite well.

Downloadable content doesn't really matter. San Andreas was pretty good, but it wasn't the story I played for, it was the side stuff that entertained the most.
I would not really want to clutter up my hard-drive with episodes anyway, because you are likely gonna have to keep them installed.

Pretty much 2 & 3 were same sort of thing as the PS1 game. New graphics, few adjustments and couple of new touches to game play will not sell the game, nor will reviews stating how long and frequent the cut scenes are.
If it is a complete overhaul of gameplay and controls then it could shift systems. From what I have seen it might just be that very different.
