The multiplayer in Uncharted 2 was great, and the multiplayer in The Last of Us was great until they added all the pay-to-win microtransactions. What they've shown of the multiplayer in Uncharted 4 so far looks terrible, though.

The inclusion of down-but-not-out, the addition of a radar, the removal of power weapons, the announcement of microtransactions on day one, the awful looking AI partners and the ridiculous Destiny-styled supers etc. all come together to look like ...

If they're tacking on a Windows 10 requirement for all these games I can't see that going down very well at all. There's a lot of people who won't upgrade from Windows 7 thanks to 8 being disastrous and 10 being a spy tool, so if they double down and keep it locked to 10 then I'm not sure why they're even bothering.

Hopefully it's lacking the horrendous pop-in that plagued Mad Max as well. The game had huge draw distance but the amount of details popping into view as you were driving around the desert was really distracting, especially since it was one of those things that you can't unsee once you notice it.

The screens for JC3 show great draw distance again but if there's a lot of pop-in when moving at speed it will be really disappointing, especially since I don't recal...

Very beautiful and technically impressive game considering the hardware that it's running on. I honestly think that this game gives the offerings on PS4/XB1 a run for their money with the sheer size and scale of the world, and it's nice to see something so genuinely imaginative with what it shows and offers to players. I might be alone in thinking this, but it really does make games like Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition look downright dull and uninspired.

@Foxtrot

The whole GG thing really was sad because at the end of the day it was a very noble cause, and fighting corruption and nepotism is always good regardless of the industry. It's a shame that the whole thing was hijacked and painted to be something that it wasn't with the fake agenda pushed so heavily by sites like Kotaku who were trying to twist perception of what the whole thing was about.

I think the saddest handling of the whole thing I'...

There's probably no chance of this ever happening, but I would love to see Killer 7, especially if the game was upscaled to 1080p since the art style would benefit tremendously. It's so niche however that it will likely be forgotten, but it's one of the true gems of that entire console generation and should be preserved in my opinion.

I find it funny that VGChartz always uses precise sales figures such as "1,457,849" when we all know that they guess the sales figures and have no factual data to provide. It's kinda bizarre as well because when they're pulling these numbers out of thin air, what makes them think, "Oh, the game sold precisely 1,457,849 copies" and not "The game sold precisely 1,457,848 copies" instead? I'm still baffled that their website is is actually allowed on N4G...

Bethesda games are usually released in unacceptable states on all platforms, it's a shame that it hasn't affected their sales.

You can sell them on the marketplace to other users for extra cash. I've no idea why anyone would buy them but they do, so it helps make games a little bit cheaper to buy.

The sales probably won't be as good if flash/daily sales are going away. Valve is telling developers to just pick a single sale price, which will likely hover around the 50% region. That's still good of course, but flash/daily sales saw a lot of games having discounts of 75% and above, which was why they were so popular.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what's even happening at Valve these days. They seem to have abandoned game development entirely (outside...

Your whole argument falls apart when you take into account that The Last of Us Remastered had multiplayer. I know you're saying that because that's what ND used as their official excuse, but the mere existence of TLOU:R proves that incorrect and demonstrates that they were lying. If they cared so much about not dividing their fanbases, they would have left multiplayer out of TLOU:R. They used a poor excuse for a sloppy remaster, plain and simple. It's...

I'd definitely be using backwards compatibility a lot if the PS4 would allow me to play all the PS3 games I bought off the PSN store. I've been dying for a good racing game to play for example, and would love to be able to fire up Burnout Paradise or Wipeout HD when I've got the itch. Since the Uncharted Collection completely dropped the ball when it comes to content, I'd love to go back and play some UC2/UC3 multiplayer and co-op occasionally as well, nevermind all the other ...

That's weird if so, because I would have thought that they'd stick with Unreal Engine. It's bizarre how many franchises have moved away from that, and I have to wonder if it's even worth it.

Dishonored 2 won't be using Unreal Engine like the original game either, the developers for that are jumping over to IDTech 5/6 for the sequel, and I'm paranoid that so many developers jumping over to brand new tech rather than sticking with what they know is only ...

lol you can win with just the paid perks because they're so broken. Give me immunity to my smoke bombs and watch the world burn. Nobody can do jack because they were originally designed as a risk/reward mechanic in vanilla and ND let's you pay some cash to turn it into reward-only. It's hilarious because even something small like that completely trivializes a lot of combat encounters and there's no counter to it at all, you're literally paying to win. All the enemy team ca...

Well given how Spring is loaded with more games than this holiday season, it figures that some would eventually be pushed back to avoid getting lost in the shuffle.

Considering how Deus Ex: Human Revolution was very noticeably rushed to market however, I think giving Mankind Divided more time in the oven can only be a good thing. The game has looked great in every gameplay demo so far so even more care put into it on top of that can only be a good thing, right? It's certa...

The sad thing about the microtransactions in The Last of Us was that you could not grind for them at all. If you didn't pay, you didn't get to use them. The fact that they were so ridiculously overpowered as well is just disgusting.

The microtransaction weapons and perks completely broke TLOU multiplayer, plain and simple. The abilities that you could buy gave an absurd advantage to people (such as smoke bomb immunity), and lets not forget how the weapons are notoriou...
