I think the worst thing is how Sony announces games so early that you keep seeing the same games at every conference for years. Just look at how many times they've been showing us Uncharted 4 and they're still milking Destiny for whatever reason.
Notice how many times they've been showing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake as well? I think it's s safe prediction that we'll be seeing that game at the following conferences as well:
E3 2016

Last year wasn't that great either. The only highlight was a new gameplay trailer for Uncharted 4 at the end of the show. Everything else was just multiplat stuff and a bunch of ports of old indie PC games.
A lot of these new indie games have been available on PC for over a year as well, so they're not really new at all. The show started off alright with a new cutscene for Uncharted 4 and trailer for Final Fantasy 7, but everything fell apart right after. They were even showing us adverts for Black Ops and Battlefront, it's just lame.
Hopefully they'll have something to make this worthwhile at the end, but when the highlights of the show are just trailers for games t...
Yeah, I don't know how anyone could doubt PSVR after that spectacular demo at PlayStation Experience.
@jb227
I disagree. What they are offering is no different to the graphics options/settings on a PC game, where the user can simply click a couple of times to change a game from 720p to 1080p (and more) when they buy new hardware.
You must have missed when they were selling tickets.
If BC wasn't important, you wouldn't see millions of people buying remasters and suddenly caring a whole lot about getting to play PS2 games on their PS4.
I'm shocked that anyone could defend Sony for doing this but then again this is the same company that can successfully charge their fans for the privilege of watching a press conference (PlayStation Experience) so I suppose they realize that they can get away with anything at this point.

@HeartlessGamer
This Twitter comment right here hit the nail on the head:
"@yosp But doesn't the emulation of these PS2 games prove it's possible? Why not roll it out universally? Why not add PS1 compatibility, too?"
The mere existence of these games being emulated and upscaled much they would be on a PS2 emulator on PC proves that they have a working emulator. They'd rather charge $15 on a game-by-game basis however tha...
Yup. They resold us PS2 games on PS3 and now they're reselling PS2 games again. This is why backwards compatibility is so important and sadly, this is why Sony abandoned the feature. Between this and their obsession with remasters it's pretty clear that one of the main pillars of their business model these days is selling people the same games over and over again.
This is the sorta nonsense I'd have expected from EA or Activision, but when you've got companies...
They advertised PS+ as giving beta access back at the PS4 reveal, as you can see here: http://i.imgur.com/7Vb2LhN....
It's funny really because you're right, ever since the launch of the PS4 where they specifically advertised beta access as a perk of PS+, we've seen way less than we ever used to. I recall a whole stack of betas for the PS3 going as far back as titles such as the original LittleBigPlanet...
Lame thing to do considering Sony advertised PS+ as giving subscribers access to betas during the PS4 reveal. If they really genuinely cared about getting feedback for Uncharted 4 multiplayer they'd have made the beta open to everyone anyways, rather than locking it behind the purchase of yet another remaster. Just goes to show what they really think of all their fans and supporters.
Yeah, really useful feature and something that consoles should have as well. It's stupid that Sony & Microsoft only allow us to remove games at 0% from our Trophy/Achievement lists when we should have full control over our accounts.
Probably. He also said there was no way that the PS3 would ever catch up to the 360.
Sony would announce a new firmware and everyone would go wild, comment sections would be flooded with cries of, "Megaton!" as fans around the world lost their collective minds with hype, simultaneously firing up their PS4s to download the brand new 4.0 firmware that's just gone live.
They clutch the controllers excitedly, sweat dripping down their brows as the familiar startup sound erupts from the speakers of their home entertainment system like a choir of ange...
I think it's about time Valve told Ubisoft to remove Uplay from their games or have their games removed from the Steam store. It's ridiculous having two layers of DRM and Uplay causes so many problems that it's surprising it's still in use today.
Yeah, it's been another underwhelming year in my opinion and there hasn't been much of note at all. I can't speak for Splatoon since I don't own a WiiU and I've no idea how the Xbox exclusives stacked up, but for me the only really noteworthy release of the year was Bloodborne, which is easily in my top five games of all time.
Well I enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot and I'm looking forward to playing Rise of the Tomb Raider when I get the chance to. It sucks that Microsoft bought timed exclusivity but at least those of us without an Xbox One will get to play it eventually, either in a few months (?) on PC or roughly a year on PS4.
It would be worse if it was a locked exclusive like Bayonetta 2 but since it's timed then whatever, we're all used to waiting for games anyways with how often t...
There are more articles and technical analyses of both console versions of the game appearing now and it looks like the author of this article was 100% correct, because the game is a technical mess.
A lot of the toxic fanboys in this comment section owe the author of this article an apology.
Considering that Shawn Layden considers Paragon (a game that isn't even exclusive) to be a mic-drop moment, along with the vast mjaority of the show being focused on multiplatform games and indies, along with peddling DLC for multiplatform games that Sony signed marketing deals with (I'm getting sick of seeing COD, Destiny & Battlefront all the time) then I think it's very clear what Sony's strategy is for this console generation.
It looks like they're...
