Apparently Lizard Squad is giving the PSN another DDoS attack for Black Friday, they announced they would not long before the PSN issues started and claimed responsibility on Twitter shortly after. I can login to the PSN fine and load into the store without a problem, but actually playing games online isn't working for whatever reason. The Last of Us multiplayer thinks I'm offline, Destiny can't connect either, nor any other multiplayer games I've tried.

Sucks to see that the game runs so poorly but yeah, this isn't surprising at all when you look at the last PS4/XB1 game that these guys released. Given that they use the same engine, it's not at all unreasonable to put two and two together to reach a logical conclusion as to what's going on.
Shame really, but I think that DARKKENT hit the nail on the head. I'm certainly at the point now where I'm using my PS4 solely for the console exclusives, and getting ...
I really hope not. It's bad enough that it's not on Steam and we have to use Origin to play it, locking it behind Windows 10 just for the sake of Microsoft would be even worse. Besides, the original game was made on a modified version of the Source engine so there's no good reason to make it limited to Windows 10.
Those games weren't announced at the VGAs though, they were announced at E3.
Then again, that does raise the point that Geoff's "World premieres" could just be new footage of games that we already know about. I can think of many games from E3 that we'll be seeing at events such as this for years to come before they're finally released.
Titanfall 2 seems likely since he made a documentary about the first game and is presumably close enough to the developers to secure an announcement for that. Besides, by the time the Game Awards takes place, we'll be close to two years since the first game launched which seems about right for announcing the sequel that we all know is coming.
I can't see him having any announcement for exclusive games however since Sony & Microsoft would save them for their own sh...
I think that if EA had priced the game more sensibly to reflect the content available, the game would not have underperformed sales-wise at launch (I'm referring to an earlier article on N4G which had retailers stating that) and everyone would have been happy.
I think that the game should have launched for $40 to be honest. When they launch for $60 and have a season pass ready to go at the same time and want people to spend such a ridiculous amount on a bundle of the two,...
They must have had a really sharp drop in active players recently with COD, Battlefront and Halo all releasing. Seems a little too blatant with the sudden introduction of referrals and trying to push the legendary edition once more even though it came out months ago. I imagine that they're probably scrambling to get the PC version out the door as soon as possible now, and it's going to be interesting to see how they handle the sequel, as well as how the fanbase (or what's left of ...
Jesus, it actually looks real. That's insane.
That's right, balance is what matters but even in the reveal trailer you could see things that were utterly broken. Take the AI buddies for example. Do you remember in the co-op modes for Uncharted 3, there was an AI "choker" enemy that wore gasmasks and ran up to you and would place you in a hold while you mashed a button to prolong your life until a teammate could shoot/punch them off you? Uncharted 4 has one of those as an AI buddy. That kinda think works in co-operative play...
No chance. They've already showcased the multiplayer as having all of those features, there's no way in hell they're gonna remove it all now no matter how much people complain because that's how they've advertised it.
Besides, huge amounts of people were complaining about everything wrong with the Uncharted 3 beta and they ignored it. They ignored all the complaints about the final patch that ruined Uncharted 2 as well, and a lot of people complained about...
Just think of it as more of a demo and promotional tool than a real beta. Naughty Dog never listens to beta feedback so what we saw in gameplay footage and experience in the beta is exactly how the game will be. There's no way that they'll remove the stupid superpowers, sidekicks, radar, DBNO and bring back power weapons to promote map control. The only reason the beta exists is so that they could use it as a way to sell copies of the Uncharted Collection.
They might ...
@Null
Sheesh, the guy sounds like he's doing this for all the wrong reasons. The fact he's gone closed source on this tells me everything that I need to know and when Sony eventually gets round to slapping him with a legal notice for trying to make money off their service I won't be feeling sorry for him. I do feel sorry for anyone silly enough to buy what he's selling, though.
@XiKurapikaKutra
Don't you get frustrated whenever you see the platinum trophy and are reminded of all the time wasted playing a game that you would have never played in the first place if you could go back in time?
This is one of the reasons that I wish Sony would allow us to actually delete games from our trophy lists regardless of completion percentage. The update to allow us to delete 0% games is a start I guess, but most games give you a trophy withi...
It's not a lost cause for people who don't want to use Windows 10. Who knows, though? If Microsoft actually surprised people with something impressive and had full Xbox 360 emulation with working online gameplay? That would be exciting. As it is however, there's simply too many weird issues that can get in the way of things, such as licensing issues holding back certain games.
A case in point here would be EA and Criterion Games, who apparently gave the okay for B...
I hope that they revived the Star Wars 1313 project. The gameplay demo reminded me a lot of Uncharted, and having Amy Hennig work on that would be perfect given her history with the Uncharted games.

Game of the generation? Well, there hasn't really been much competition so far, has there? This console generation has been mediocre at absolute best and Bloodborne is one of only two games that I would consider to be genuinely great (the other is Titanfall) and when you think about it, that's pretty bad.
Hopefully things pick up soon but aside from those two games, this generation has started with a whimper and crawled along. Can't say if the WiiU or Xbox One hav...
On the topic of Kotaku being hypocrites, I find it hilarious that they contributed to a blacklist shared between journalists that was uncovered by GamerGate, but when they actually get added to one themselves they cry and whine about it.
"Be glad I acknowledge you at all"
Jesus. Way to be bitter because the guy made a valid point and explained how you were wrong. It's clearly in the article that the game renders 720p on Xbox and 900p on PlayStation.
As for his original point I agree, chasing 1080p at the cost of performance has always been a terrible decision and I'm glad that developers are willing to drop resolution because as we can see, the increase in visuals and framer...
Remember when GamerGate leaked that journalists had their own blacklists, and Kotaku themselves were one of the sites that was contributing to and making use of this blacklist?
Funny how the tables turned there.
I feel sorry for the author of the article that was on N4G saying that the PS4 version was a technical mess (it was the only version that he'd played) and he got absolutely trounced by fanboys insulting him and calling him biased, even though they hadn't played the game themselves. Heck, we even had N4G moderators removing his articles and trying to cover it up for some silly reason, and yet here we are, looks like the author was right after all and a lot of the more toxic members of ...
