"Most of the sales came from steam"

lol the game was never released on Steam. Stupid fanboy.

Well, you seem to care a whole lot considering how argumentative you're being over me saying that I hope the game doesn't get downgraded.

Also, to answer your question, I look at games while I'm playing them. I guess you play games with your eyes closed?

@dragonddark

Where did I say that?

Yup. Lost count of how many exclusives I've seen hyped-up on this site only to fall flat on their faces when they launch and it turns out that they're absolute garbage.

My most anticipated games for this year are all multiplatform. Dark Souls 3, Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

I just think that the game looks nice and hope it doesn't look worse when it launches, I'm not sure why that's so difficult for you to understand? Then again, I guess you must have confused me with someone else because you're replying to things that I never even said anyways.

lol nobody was talking about any of the games that you listed six months after release. People stop talking about games shortly after release because the hype and anticipation is gone the moment they get their hands on it and can actually play it instead of reading articles or watching trailers. Speculation is what fuels most discussion about games, and that speculation disappears when the game launches.

The only exception I've seen to this is the Souls games, which will ...

Shame that this game was delayed for so long, the gameplay videos they've shown look incredible. I'm kinda dreading a downgrade because the game looked a little too good, I hope it doesn't reappear later in the year looking worse than what we've seen so far.

The game was released two years ago, nobody talks about any game that long after release regardless of how successful they were. I mean look at the big shooters from the holiday season, Battlefront and Black Ops 3. Nobody talks about them either, even though they were only released a couple of months ago.

If we're trying to measure success however, seeing Respawn throwing around the 10 million number and seeing the game have the same impact and influence on the industry a...

I'm in the same boat, it's hard not to think of the Move/Kinect/3D gimmicks when looking at these VR headsets. The only differences however is that VR seems to have a lot less hype behind it, less of a marketing push and a much higher price tag, which seems like a recipe for disaster in my opinion, especially when you take into account the negative reception to the PSVR demo at PSX, which will have really hurt the way that people perceive the technology.

I imagine tha...

@castillo

The publishers will definitely see more money from increased sales. The developers, though? Highly unlikely.

It's a shame that people are focusing on the piracy aspect of this without considering the negative aspects of the inability to crack games. While piracy is no doubt bad, the archival abilities it opens up to allow the preservation of games is very important, and I really don't think that's something that anyone wants to see go away.

As we move towards a digital future which is increasingly reliant on temporary licensing agreements and online services that are not...

B-b-but won't someone please think of the publishers?! I'm disgusted by the entitled behavior that consumers repeatedly display by trying to get good deals on purchases, it's sickening. Don't they realize that these companies are trying to make money? Don't they realize that they're trying to maximize profits?!

How can little Jimmy McGreedypants buy a new swimming pool for his third home if consumers keep enjoying offers and promotions? I hate how enti...

Yeah, I wish I didn't have to suffer through Bloodborne's framepacing & framerate problems on PS4. I'd give anything to enjoy the game at a rock solid 60fps but that would break your little fanboy heart, wouldn't it? Meanwhile, those of us that aren't sad little fanboy nerds just want to enjoy playing games in the best way possible.

Still, keep on preaching about all these multiplatform games that you insist are exclusive lol.

I saw an article the other day that said the best rpg of the year was Xenoblade Chronicles X. Can't play that on PC or PS4.

You can in fact play Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 on PC however, and they're much better than the console versions. Why suffer through the console version of Witcher 3 running at ~25fps when you can enjoy it in all its glory on PC? Same goes for Fallout 4.

Really no reason to pick up any console now. PC supremacy :/

I don't know, but I remember reading something a while ago about how the games supposedly "need" DX12, which is only available with Windows 10.

It's stupid, and they did the same thing back with Windows Vista when they released Halo 2 for PC and locked it behind Vista. Turns out that the game didn't actually need Vista at all and it was just a ploy to sell their crappy OS, and modders removed the Vista requirement for the game so people could play on XP ...

Actually Sony published games are starting to appear on Steam, the last one to do so was Helldivers, the Steam publisher is PlayStation lol.

Anyways, funny how people are so quick to list games like Street Fighter V, No Man's Sky, Shenmue 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake etc. in all of their lists of so-called exclusives, but then the goalposts are shifted ever so fast when fanboys are trying to insist that oh, all these "exclusives" totally aren't going to PC at a...

I'm sure Xbox owners will appreciate the online playerbases for these games getting a healthy population boost from the crossplay with the PC versions.

Seems that people are just clutching at straws here to wave their little fanboy flags and somehow paint this as a bad thing for whatever reason when the fact of the matter is that this is a good move and something that Microsoft should have done long ago. It's not going to hurt Xbox, just like all these so-called PS4 &...

99% of console games are on PC and yet people still buy consoles anyway, so your argument makes zero sense. Besides, a bunch of PS4 "exclusives" are also on PC as well. Much like handhelds are a completely different market from home consoles, so is the PC market. If games being available on PC stopped people from buying consoles then the PS4 and XB1 would be dead in the water, much like the PS3 and 360 would have been.

Waiting for them to hit Steam. Hard to get excited if they're just gonna stick these on the Windows store and make them Windows 10 only.
