I don't know what's worse - your comment or the sheer number of agrees that you got.

Seriously, just because media outlets don't like certain things about the PS3 doesn't mean that it's because of bias. Maybe they simply don't like certain things about the PS3. Period. I own one and there are things that I outright hate about it. But the problem is, people (especially here) think that bad news or commentary is from some sort of global plot hatched by Microsoft to defame the PS3...

Well... misleading title, but still - the mere idea of it all is frackin cool! :)

Well then according to you, FF should have stayed on the PS2 (as in two), because that's where it was most recently with the exception of XI on PC and 360 as well. PS3 is not the same as PS2 - merely the same manufacturer. So, why should it be PS3 only given your logic?

EDIT: Multiplats aren't worth your time? Call of Duty, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Resident Evil, Dead Space, and the other 90% of games that are Multiplatform say hi.

Jeesh. That's just delusional to think a remake of a readily available game is going to sell 20 million PS3s on its own.

Did you even think before posting that comment?

EDIT: OK maybe the PS3 might sell 10 mill in a year, but not because of a FFVII remake

I didn't understand what you said at all! :)

I really hope that "wii" don't enter into this type of console future. If so, then we won't be making as much progress as we've seen in the last 3 generations (in terms of innovative gameplay - not just graphics). To make a PS3.5 and an Xbox 540 would be a disservice to not only hardcore gamers but to developers as well.

Yeah, I know that. I didn't say otherwise. My point was that SOCOM has been in the toilet since part 3, which Zipper developed.

If Namco revealed a game where you played a yellow moon shaped creature who eats little dots and gets chased by ghosts until he eats a super dot, at which point he can eat them for a short while, but then they went on to say that it is NOT an iteration of the Pac Man series, would you believe it?

This is a smart move - the last 3 SOCOMs (3, Combined Assault and Confrontation) have been less than stellar. Why not make SOCOM without calling it SOCOM - give it a free pass, ya know? ...

OK. Here's what I mean:
No matter what game mode you are playing, it's kill kill kill. There's no stealth or tactical approach to combat involved and very little strategy. Plus, if you're not with friends, chances are you're talking to nobody in particular on your mic.

The Multiplayer is a constant cluster of death. It's fun for a while, but it gets old. Seriously.

I hope that this article is trying to be ironic. Saying that text chat > voice chat is a solid fail.

But it's better than nothing, if not a little weird to use a first. I don't mind it - it's just not as good as voice chat.

Why, because it's not a PS3-exclusive anymore?

I'm sick of fanboys trashing FF simply because it will be on the 360 as well. I guarantee if you go through most of their comment histories FF13 was on their pathetic "list of games that will make PS3 rule 200X" before Microsoft broke their hearts last E3.

Get over it. Be a fan, not a fanboy.

Because the multiplayer is repetitive and too chaotic. I liked the game, but I got over it WAY too quickly.

Honestly, I could care less how many people can play a game at the same time as long as it is a GOOD game. Zipper already screwed up SOCOM 3 and Combined Assault, and Slant 6 screwed up Confrontation. I mean, SOCOM 2 was one of my favorite games EVER, and they followed it up with those pieces of trash.

If I were Sony or Zipper, I would be distancing myself from the SOCOM name at this point. SOCOM = fail to a lot of people these days.

Let's blame who should be blamed: the game itself. I bought the game. I liked the game for about 35 in-game hours. But then I stopped. And my friends on the fence are asking me should I get it? I'm honest and tell them: it's a very good FPS, but it's not something you'll play a few months from now unless you COMPLETELY click with it. And you know what? I'm not alone. A lot of my friends who DID buy it at launch are back to their old standbys or new games. It's not because Killzone 2 isn't a g...

I don't play it anymore - it wasn't a flop, but it wasn't the greatest game I ever played. It's somewhere in the middle. Either way, I think that it could have been more...

@bob_saget Umm... SOCOM Confrontation says hi. I'm still playing the beta on that one - and we're talking after almost 6 months and 3 massive (in terms of MB) patches.

Welcome to 2006 Sony!

(I say this as a PS3, 360, and Wii owner. How it has taken this long to get into the XMB is beyond me)

Here's what too many people fail to realize - these numbers are not acceptable for two day sales in this day and age of the gaming blockbuster. Gone are the days where game sales steadily increase month to month. We are in the Hollywood era where the big gross generally comes from first week sales and then slowly tapers off. Now I understand that KZ2 had strong week 2 sales, but that's probably going to be its biggest week of sales period. Then it will taper off like every other game - simple...

Yes.

It manages to take a well-trod road (platforming) and make it something new and refreshing, while still paying homage to the games that came before it. Plus it has a story that rivals many of the "more immersive" games - something previously unheard of in 2D platformers.

This game is the real deal.

No.

The PS2 was the best. It had the biggest variety of games that I would consider as truly great (even for their time).

The PS3 has a lot to live up to - the potential is there, but the realization is not yet (and I stress yet).

Well... of the around 20 friends of mine on my PSN friends list, only 3 of them (in addition to myself) still play Killzone regularly - and I only play every few nights.

Not having longevity doesn't mean that Killzone 2 isn't a great game. It just means that it isn't a long-term game for some people. I mean, I've played and LOVED many games that only were in one of my consoles for a relatively short time. It doesn't cheapen the experience that I had DURING the time that I playe...
