So, by your logic, then games like MGS4 and Uncharted 2 should have come out on the 360 because it outsold the PS3 month after month and had a 7-9 million console "lead" (depending on the source).
You opened the door, I just walked through it...
Sony's marketing team (in general, and in terms of the gaming division) is bewildering at best and frustrating at most. I never got into the floating PS3 playing baseball or the Ratchet and Clank "real world" weapons ads or the endless parade of very generic commercials that pretty much almost documentary-like.
That being said, I actually kinda dig this - edgy, albeit maybe in slightly poor taste for an advertisement. This is a good direction for Sony to go in - kind ...
What you mean like when it happened in 2006 - errrrr - 2007 - errrrr - 2008 - errrrr - 2009 - errrrr - whenever Sony has an exclusive come out - errrrr - when Home came out errrrr...
Face it - none of the 3 consoles are going anywhere. They all have way too much of a market share to be rendered as non-factors. And why would we want them to be - competition makes things better for us gamers. The only people who want to see one system or the other fail are fanboys, simply because...
Apparently I thought out my comment way more than you thought out yours.
You do realize that artists have virtually no control on whether or not they are played on the radio, right? And as to them playing on MTV unplugged? Are your really calling into question one of the greatest acoustic performances of our generation (if not of others) by saying Kurt wouldn't do it because it was MTV? You're forgetting that back then, MTV played music videos 1000 times more than they did toda...
I don't like the fact that this article gives Harmonix a free pass (in fact, it's almost revering them) for doing the same thing that it belittles Activision/Neversoft for.
I guarantee you that Kurt Cobain was a million times more protective of his music than his image. The last thing that somebody as anti-corporate and -establishment as Cobain would have wanted was a bunch of (mostly) kids playing his songs with plastic instruments and singing his lyrics without even having th...
Dude - in all honesty, inFamous plays very well, except it got a bit jumpy during the prison shootout when all the enemies rushed in a that big-@$$ conduit walkers were running amuck. Not complaining, as it was an awesome setpiece, but the games DOES lag in certain spots...
Have any of you idiots actually played Wii Fit? It's actually a very cool game that *GASP* helps to get you in shape - something that Killzone or Halo will never accomplish.
But of course, you'd have to tear yourselves away from your couches, computer monitors and Twinkies to see that...
People with social skills like HOME? I would assume that people who lacked social skills would be the ones in HOME, as they could, I dunno, just experience real life if interaction was so natural?!?!
My PS3 is for games and movies. When I want to talk to strangers or play bar games, I go to a bar. There's even alcohol there.
Dunno how they can call DNF never seen - especially since the gameplay leak a couple of weeks ago...
You'd be surprised! A lot of people will buy something (even a big ticket item like a game console) just because it's $10-20 off - especially in this economy...
Does this mean that we'll see donkey punches in this game?
I just had to :)
Unfortunately, none of those games (killzone, mgs 4, lbp, resistance 2, infamous, motorstorm, demon soul, warhawk, uncharted) are "system-sellers" with the exception of MGS4. That's not to say that they aren't great games, but MGS4 is the only one that spiked the PS3's sales noticeably.
Now I know people are of the "sales don't matter" ideal, but if any of those games were to entice people on the fence about a PS3, you would have seen larger spikes on PS3 co...
GTA: The Lost and the damned came out about 10 months after the original game dropped and went on to sell very well.
Burnout Paradise is supported to this day with car and game mode updates (and is getting a large island add-on in a bit) after almost a year and a half of being released.
MGS4 isn't that old, and even if it is, DLC is DLC.
The 11 people who disagreed with you only prove your point.
This place has become an intellectual wasteland...
Killer Instinct 3, Perfect Dark sequel, and new Metal Gear game are high on my list. As for confirmed (kinda) titles, can't wait to see Forza 3 and Alan Wake...
Doesn't your statement show some prejudice against Germany? I mean, WW2 and the like was over 60 years ago man. Times have changed...
At first I thought that the title was "The Agency derailed by Sony" which would suck, as I am looking forward to this game. I love the whole espionage thing and an MMO involving it simply reeks of awesomeness...
I'm sure that Microsoft doesn't want to be last in this gen's console sales. Are you saying that they do?
Yeah... they have been WAY too quiet. Smells like something big. I pray to any god that will listen that it's Killer Instinct 3 and a proper Perfect Dark sequel out of Rare, as well as finally locking down something solid on Alan Wake...
Heh. The "PS3 owners have other games to play" argument is kind of stupid - especially when the sales figures come in and it becomes apparent that we didn't buy the exclusives all that much either.
And are people REALLY including PixelJunk Shooter and Demon's Souls in the lists of games preventing MW2 pre-orders? Those games are too niche-oriented to have a sales impact on other games (especially a blockbuster-type release such as MW2). Stop assuming that just because a...
