They could release the games before the consoles come out, right? I mean, it wouldn't make sense, but they could do it I guess?
Even without Microsoft's policies, there would still be hatred towards them from the usual suspects. See this generation for further reference.
That said, there are some who have stopped supporting or pledged to stop supporting Microsoft due to the restrictions, or rather, their understanding of the restrictions. A lot of this is due to Microsoft's continued lack of clarity in regards to the restrictions themselves, and their seeming refusal to explain why we should ...
God of War 3 is still my favorite opening due to the action that you pop in immediately and the fact that you are in control the whole time, getting wowed by the scale of the battle on Olympus.
That said, TLOU's is just as impressive, but on an immersion and emotion level. No spoilers here, but damn, they invested me immediately and haven't let go since.
Dude, wait until you try multiplayer. I had my reservations but it is amazing. Extremely tactical and teamwork-focused. It doesn't have the mass appeal of a COD or Battlefield type game in terms of online, but I will be playing it for a while, and I think there will be a cult-like following for it not unlike Metal Gear Online. There's simply nothing like it out there right now.

"I mean, know its a luxury item, but there's an inherit flaw in shutting out potential customers while trying to expand the market base."
That's how business works though. Companies do not try to appeal to everyone - they have a target audience or demographic. Microsoft is going for the internet connected household that embraces new tech and methods, wants games, likes the second screen experience, and who prefers digital content...
Truth! The only thing that annoys me are the enhanced melee kills. It's like, ugggggh - I'm shooting you and I get charged and die in one hit. But on a bright note, they usually go down right afterward by somebody else in the group. ALWAYS run in a group!
I've played about 2/3 through on campaign. Trying to savor it. I've been blown away by how much attention to detail and emotion has been put in this game. I'll withhold final verdict until completion, but this is already one of the finest single player experiences I've ever had.
The multiplayer is a pleasant surprise. I haven't played such a tactical game since my old SOCOM 2 and Rainbow Six 3 days. For some reason, people that I play in matchmaking seem t...
For me (no particular order)
Infamous: Second Son
Titanfall
The Division
MGS5
Project Spark
Destiny
Forza 5
It kinda looks like Myst. Then again, Braid kinda looked like Super Mario and that turned out to be an unfair assumption.
I don't expect Microsoft to change its policies before launch, or even up until a year after launch. Assuming that that is the case, there are a few things they can do.
First and foremost, EXPLAIN ALL OF THEIR POLICIES AND HOW THEY WORK. I'm talking in detail and so that everyone who is a potential customer knows exactly what they are getting into. Send out press releases, post videos online, provide retailers with definitive fact sheets, etc. Even if the policies can...
From the official release. I've starred the relevant sentence:
"In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. ******Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this.****** In addition, third party publishers can enable...
Wow. Even though Microsoft doesn't charge money to share used games, people are making videos of them charging to share used games.
I swear that most people don't check out readily available information.
I haven't played it yet because I'm at work, but I was worried about having to pause the game repeatedly and break the immersion factor. Kudos to Naughty Dog for fixing this so quickly!
5PM can't get here soon enough!!!
I would assume that Family Group is a Live Gold feature only. It makes the most sense considering every other service that is behind the paywall.
Edit: In regards to those stating that this has been done before, it kinda has, but only on digital download games. All disc games have been one user at a time before Family Groups.
Here's my understanding of the system:
The person who buys the game becomes the primary license holder for that particular game. Anybody designated in that person's Family Group becomes secondary license holders. The primary can play the game whenever they want to, and one secondary can play that game at any given time.
Real World Example - let's say I buy Titanfall. When the game is installed, it shows up on my shared games list. Whether I'm...
So don't put them on your family list. Smart solution #112.
@ifritAlkhemyst
Fair enough - those are excellent movies! I should have said "in general, post-apocalyptic movies don't garner universal praise".
Why thank you! :)
The 360 version is being developed by another studio and won't have the same scale and features as the One and PC versions. I'd post a link but I'm on my phone :/
