I personally love the IP, but nearly hated the first game on Wii.
Crappy open world, Boring levels, but amazing music, visual style, and boss fights.
Hoping the 2nd on PS3 shapes up better.
Lex Numerique didn't mean a damn to me until I played the Red Johnson Chronicles: a great noir detective game that reminds me of Blade Runner.
Looking forward to their next game, and I do love a bit of survival horror!
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift has a track named "Red Ring of Death"; takes place on a volcanic track with lava everywhere and a lot of explosions due to overheating.
Digs like this aren't new in the industry - Duke Nukem 3D had the "That's one DOOMED Space Marine" joke at the expense of id Software.
"noobs probably had the password set to '4' or something. I mean, at least it was randomly generated"
I knew of a guy who created a program that used the "random" number of 344. It was random at the time of generation, anyway.
Not much of a response.
Unless they tell us something definite, anything they say will be full of vagaries, and crushed hopes.
It's not like Sony would respond "No, you can't have anything, GTF Off my lawn!"
Unlikely.
Of the 77 million users details taken, the chances that a couple of them will be subject to boring old regular internet fraud is more likely.
That and the card details on SONY's account were encrypted.
Lol, there are folk here who will just disagree regardless.
Maybe they disagree with debit cards? I'm not sure how, but they'll find a way!
Well duh. Visa are contractually obliged to refund fraudulent losses.
This does not stop fraud from happening in the first place.
Good advice.
Already cancelled my card, I'll be waiting to change all info when PSN comes back online.
Still a lot scammers can do with the other info - name, address etc.
Hopefully this has been done as a prank or a stunt and they'll get caught, that's the best case scenario.
Worst case is if it was done maliciously, and the details sold on to any number of fraudsters around the world.
Unfortunately Rory Cellan Jones often couldn't tell the difference between his ass and his elbow.
At best he's parroting what SONY have already said, at worst inciting panic.
Typical mass media day then, really.
Looked at the cropped image; thought "Hey! Tomb Raider getting a little bondage!"
Saw the larger image; thought "Oh, they're going down the 'Nathan Drake is popular because he bleeds a lot' route"
Just do something original, will you? for the first time since Tomb Raider 1, just do something new, and give us back the sense of exploration!
I get a greater sense if achievement and exploration when exploring a cav...
Really? That's how NG4 does it?
D-A+ isn't even a scale, how does that even work out in a percentage?
What's the lowest grade?
Where the hell does the A+ come from?
There's only one review, and that's a D.
I suppose when a girl dresses up for a night out and gets raped, it's half her fault too, right?
Sure SONY has a responsibility to protect it's data, but shrugging off the hacker's responsibility is just as narrow minded.
I can't say I've missed PSN - I've always been a singleplayer. Patches can still be downloaded (as they're hosted by the publishers, not SONY).
I do look forward to the weekly update though, so it's be a disappointment if it isn't fixed by Wednesday.
UK gamers comfortably show that given the choice of playing a game on PS3 and getting a PC version free, they still go for the 360.
I'm not sure if I should be happy for Microsoft, or weep that they have so many idiot gamers.
"PC and PS3 lack shadowing of 360, Therefore 360 must be doing it right. It couldn't possibly be down to different light levels"
WTF?
Unreal Engine vs Bespoke God of War Engine. Gee I wonder which will look better.
Gravity Gun Mark 2 maybe. It was the fun gun we were promised in the previews. The first Gravity gun was lame.
First time I tried it I thought "Why can't I pull the guns out of the Combine's hands?".
No mention of Blood II's weapons either - nothing's much more satisfying than twin double-barrel sawn-off shotguns, or the flare gun :)
An Identity Protection Scheme is little comfort to those who's data has already been stolen.
But some free insurance never a bad thing - especially as ID fraud can decimate any chances many of us may have of getting a mortgage or bank accounts.
