Better question: Do the bare minimum of improvements done each year add value to FIFA?

Translation: We do not want to do both Move and Kinect, so we're not doing either.

"Cool, but technically weak"... wasn't that what made DN3D so great?

It was still using sprites whilst John Carmack was trying to drag us into the future with 3D models

As further proof that Tomb Raider is in no way looking to Uncharted for inspiration, the first screenshot does in no way feature a wizened, wise-cracking, gray-haired, moustachioed mentor.

Nope, they're definitely going in a different direction.

How can they be sure, when they didn't know how bad FFXIII was going to be until it was release?

"It's more about the additional work, not the possibility"

I'm not sure how much you know about software development... but here's a simplification:

1) BioWare's Game Code
2) Voice Recognition Library

It doesn't matter if they're using Kinect, or any other third party library, there is still effort involved in making it work. It isn't magic.

Maybe there's less effort involved ...

Yes, I understand they're letting Kinnect do the hard work.

My point is that there have been software libraries that do this very (quite light on resources, if my Penium 1 from years ago is any indicator) task, for many years.

Another "We must do what we can to help Kinnect" PR decision?

Am I missing something? Because I was using voice commands about 10 years ago to submerge a submarine in Sub Command.

And not a couple of years ago, didn't End War use voice commands?

What is it about Kinnect that makes this exclusively possible on 360?

Is it that it will only detect the squeaky-high voices of the 13 year old demographic?

I can understand why they wouldn't implement this on PC or PS3 if the Kinnect ca...

Shame he doesn't kick himself when his games don't do his hype justice.

So instead of Pre-Rendered HD video badly compressed to DVD, the 360 will get sub-par in game cut scenes?

Awesome. I'll be sticking with the PS3 version then.

"You do understand what "First Person" means, do you not?"

No I do not. Because all games are defined by their perspective, and the tools used, aren't they?

Because Tigers and Dolphins are totally the same animal because they are both Mammals.

Some gamers complain about every firmware update.

I'd wager if SONY released a new FW that did nothing except increment the version number, they would still point the finger at the Firmware.

Operation Flashpoint, even in it's less hardcore incarnation of Dragon Rising, has never been an FPS.

I'd still play it over the casual corridor shooters that keep getting perfect scores these days.

I can't help but think that 10 years after it was fashionable, Eidos finally give Lara the grimdark treatment.

I can't wait to see which developer outdoes the other in terms of turning the protagonist into a meat sack, CD's Lara, or Naughty Dog's Drake.

It's like they thought Uncharted was good because Drake look like crap. Instead of the tight gameplay, great set pieces, witty dialog... you know stuff that actually maters.

"inFamous 2 faces a few issues, but ironically, the biggest issue this game faces is all the damned issues in the game."

Ironically, the reviewer thinks he's being clever.

9 for GFX, 8 for Sound, but because the reviewer has the attention span of a Jack Russel = 6/10.

Perhaps Kojima Productions have a different idea of what "Optimized", "rebuilt", and "not a simple port" means.

Because that's exactly what the screenshots look like.

Maybe the final product will look better, but it would be a shame if we didn't get a collection that didn't have the same attention paid as God of War Collection.

Exactly - some special features at least, perhaps the soundtrack?

Riddick: Dark Athena came with a ported and upgraded version of Escape From Butcher Bay. They didn't have to do it, but it was certainly a brilliant thing to give to the fans.

Wow... what an incredibly lazy update.

Render it in HD, apply copious amounts of AA and improve texture filtering, done. Every PC gamer does this whenever they upgrade their PCs.

Oh wow, and incredible 3 seconds of footage for PS3.

Yes it looked amazing, but I can't help but think the scenes were a bit more sedate than the PC version showing off.

Looking forward to seeing when DICE pull out of the bag as I loved Battlefield Bad Company.

But this is nothing to get excited over for the PS3, yet.

I don't see a difference; I'll wait until somebody actually has HD to SD comparisons.

Really looking forward to this!
