What does that have to do with the price of eggs?
I was pointing out that there are engines already out there catering to open world environments.
GTA/Red Dead Redemption's Rage is good enough for you?
What is your point?
Ye... what?
It was a Metroidvania. It's not linear if you're going back over previously discovered areas to find secrets, or newly accessible paths.
Open World does not mean the game will be non-linear - look at Mafia II.
What does this mean for Arkham City? That each environment is only worth exploring the once, but at least you get to choose which one to go to next?
Apparently the rest of Activision didn't think so.
This is the same Activision that has been known to cancel projects they knew would not hit the magical 80%+ score.
They didn't think Brutal Legend was going to do well so they tried to cancel it, then sued (for loss of income, lol) when developers Double Fine released it under EA, and made money.
It is incredible what people can do with the Unreal Engine now.
I was happy when Raven streamed all the levels without loading (and with some well placed cutscenes) to stream Wolverine.
I went out of my mind when I saw Tigon create an open world with it in The Wheelman. Seriously, why would you pick UE when there are other open world engines ready (GTA's, Saints Row's, Fuel's, Burnout Paradise's).
It's come a long way sinc...
They put in enough bugs for singleplayer. You can't expect them to catch them when there's more than one player involved!
I liked Strikeforce ;_;
But then I get a bit tired of DW, and loved Bladestorm
"Money aside, it’s the PlayStation 3 that looks set to be the prime console."
"I hope to see more of this in the future. Imagine not having to limit yourself to one platform, or more importantly, one group of friends"
"Despite my praise for the PS3 package, I’m likely to buy the Steam version; however, that’s only because I’m Australian"
Way to stick to your morals and ideals, guy.
Wait, somebody disagreed and thinks Graphics are the reason we play Dynasty Warriors?
Somebody has low standards.
I always thought capitalisation was important, but oh well.
Why the hell don't they (and Gamestation/Game) offer this from their own damn websites?
Why an app? So you'll look cool scanning a bar code? Brilliant.
Congratulations!
Down 38% of 33%... what's that, still 22% failure rate?
Jokes aside, it is disgraceful the 360 failed as much as it did. And the biggest disgrace?
The Customers who went out and bought a 2nd, 3rd or 4th console. Bravo, you tools. Bravo.
Brilliant!
Let's see which console plays this already out of date game better!
I love Dynasty Warriors, but the graphics have never been the reason to play!
If by the end of the game, I've got most of the trophies, I don't mind replaying if I enjoyed the game.
But, as I discovered with the Force Unleashed the other day, I'm not the trophy whore I thought I was.
Nothing will make me play that rubbish again - And I have platinum trophies for both Wheelman, and Dark Void.
Tiny subtitles!
Dammit! Subtitles are not meant to be pretty, they're supposed to be practical.
It's quite difficult to read subs like that on a 40" screen from 5 feet.
@Kakihara
Isn't that the point of HD remakes?
If we didn't care who had the best version, they'd still be selling the PS2 games unaltered.
Jesus Japan, I love you, but one of these days you're going to have to realise you're an asshole.
Lighten up a bit, the guy was just showing some encouragement.
Until somebody figures out a Mod to turn the rain into Petrol.
Or substitute each snowflake for a block of TNT.... actually that would be awesome :|
Why compare a HD version to the PS2 versions? Of course it's going to look better than that!
Why not compare Splinter Cell HD to each PC version?
It's like the tag line to Alien Vs Predator:
Whoever wins, we lose.
