It won't fit on a DVD.

It's fit on several DVDs :|

I'd love to gloat, since I love BluRay, but this has been done since the dawn of multiple cassette tapes on the Commodore64 and earlier, no doubt.

Extra Extra: Pope poops in woods!

It doesn't have a gritty look.

If anything it looks like they lifted a lot from the assets from Halo.

Hell, with Nolan North doing the voice acting you could be forgiven You're playing a futuristic Uncharted.

But for being bigoted against a 1/4 of the market?

For unforgivable delays in "Episodes"?

For just re-making (yet again) Team Fortress?

Could be worse... They could have given it to Bobby Kotick.

Do either Sony or MS need to beat each other?

Does this idiot ignore Mario on purpose?

Tune in the next time he has a brain fart, and an opinion he can't keep to himself!

I admit I didn't play the beta because of that 1.8gig slap in the face. I wouldn't have minded if it was 1.8gb from the PSN store, because it could be downloaded in the background, but because it was part of the software, it had to be done in the foreground!

I'm not sitting for nearly 2 gig to download in front of me! But this is very good news :D

The problem with the stigma of installing, is that it's biggest opponents will quite happily install disks to the 360 HDD just to speed up loading and quieten it down :|

It's never bothered me, especially since HDDs are so damned cheap!

The majority of developers are still sticking the old way of forcing data to the outside of a DVD (or is it the inside?) to get the fastest possible reading speed.

This doesn't work with BluRay because it's a constant read speed wherever the data is, and the PS3's BDDrive is a 2 speed, faster than a full layer or dual layer DVD on a 16x, but slower than a half layer on a 16x.

Installing it to disk is usually just a lazy solution to a problem they can't be bothered to...

I wasn't totally impressed by the demo, mainly because it looks old - everything else about pretty sweet.

But if they had released it along side ODST, it might have had a cult, or spite following from the folk who don't much like Halo :|

WTF? Somebody disagreed??

Was it my personal anecdote? In which case I'm like to know what part of my memory I got wrong.

Or was it my suggestion that the "journalist" should look up the word Plethora?

To just picking up a 360 on a whim. So close!

But I said I would only get one if I could find as many games that would come to the total cost of the initial system. So if I could find a 360 for £150, if I could find £150 worth of games that aren't on PS3, I would pick one up.

They'd have to be games that interested me, so Halo, Gears of War were out. I got to 4 games... Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, Dead Rising, Fable 2. I couldn't think of anything else......

Wow... better shadows.

Glad they're improving it, but when compared to the graphics upgrade Eve had a year back, it's small potatoes.

You understand that compared to the likes of World of Warcraft, Card games, Bejewelled and other casual games, games like Max Payne, Alan Wake, Modern Warefare, Halo are the niche games?

In a creative market, you don't get praise from doing the same old thing, you get zombies.

Except it's taken them Quantic 5 years to develop an impressive looking game that has us both interested and confused about what it actually is; something new, fresh.

Remedy has spent 7 years developing what looks like a good Alone in the Dark clone, and have been thrown around by MS for at least half of that time.

I hope Alan Wake will be great, but other (better) devs have suffered from the pressure Microsoft push onto them, e.g. Rare.

Sony's practical...

Vigil Games:
"It's something that's really not a difficult fix for us and so we're going to implement a patch to resolve the problem. We're fairly certain it'll happen really soon so look out for it."

But not simple enough to be a part of QA and Testing?

She tanks pretty much any film she's in (despite being a great actress on occasion), and for no particular reason!

I'd hate to see a game get treated the same :\

Normally I'd agree with that statement. PS3 exclusives have shown t be subjectively much better looking than 360 exclusives. I say subjective, because they are exclusives it's impossible to objectively compare beyond boring technical details.

But I think HR has the edge because it isn't a typical 3rd person game. From what I've seen it plays more like a 3D point and click, like The Longest Journey. Limited camera range, and environments means you can boost the visuals regardless ...
