"did you just call CD project red...indie? they own gog. dot com ffs."
Do you not know what "indie" means? A developer can be huge and worth multi-billion and own other companies and still be an independent studio.
Now, to your point, poppinslops made it sound like CDPR are just a small group of guys getting together in their free time and making games, lol. Which certainly isn't the case.
Uh yeah. You don't get to pick the definition of the word. Even your Webster's definition very clearly says "or in a different form" as part of the same sentence as "make anew." That means it doesn't matter if it's made the same or differently, it's still a remake. You can't just remove half the definition and pretend it doesn't exist lol.
At the end of the day, I really wish this was turn based like the original. But I must s...
YOU go seamless from gameplay to cutscene.
I had Sega CD and actually had quite a few games.
Tomcat Alley was by far my favorite.
Dracula, Ground Zero Texas, Double Switch, Sewer Shark, Power Rangers, Prize Fighter, and Mortal Kombat
Unfortunately most of them were just FMV's that you had to press buttons at the right time like quicktime events.
Sega CD was cool when I was like 12. But looking back it was quite the piece of junk.
Yep. You're 100% correct.
It wasn't the Genesis or its games that lost the console wars. It was all of the money they spent putting out peripherals that killed them. The Sega CD and 32x were terrible, sold terribly, and really hurt them.
Then came the Saturn to put the nail in the coffin.
Is it really Marvel's mistake? It gets a little tiresome seeing people throwing blame on the wrong people.
Marvel are not the ones that created the game. Even if it was their idea to create a GaaS, they are not the ones that made the characters look ridiculous, or made the gameplay terrible (if that does end up being the case). When Sony busted out an amazing Spider-Man game no one gave the credit to Marvel. It all went to Sony, and rightfully so.

This is very true. But the problem is this: I'm 37 years old and have reading comics since I was 6. I'm fully aware of the fact that no character has a 100% consistent look, even in the comics. I'm also very aware that the MCU are not the end all be all representations of these characters. I view the MCU as an alternate universe to the comics. None of that changes the fact that the characters look awful in this game. Everyone but Iron Man and Hulk look absolutely awful.

I think people's expectations were that the characters would at least look presentable. The biggest problem is that they released a CGI trailer with no real gameplay. So right off the bat the only real thing to go off of is the character designs and graphics, which were both below par.
Then to hear the devs skirting around what the game really is. Like, why did they unveil this game 2 days ago and we still don't really know what it is. By all accounts it sounds like...
I don't remember anyone saying Sony won last year's Ee because they had a guy playing a flute....
I do know that people were impressed by the actual game announcements and videos they brought to the table, though.
@gamingunited
This is why you shouldn't talk trash about people's grammar on the internet. In the same comment you made fun of his grammar you used the wrong form of you're and you forgot a comma.
Yeah. And isn't it just like the gaming community? No one is up in arms about this or the crazy overpriced Special Edition. If EA or Activision made this it would be all we were hearing right now.
FF7 and Avengers are all I'm interested in. I couldn't care less about the rest of this stuff.
It did kind of sway me. Don't get me wrong, I still wish it were turn based. But after seeing that I will at least buy and play this. It does look pretty impressive.
We're not dealing with people that are being honest. We're dealing with people that hate EA so much that they will say it looks bad if EA's name is anywhere close to it, regardless of what it looks like.
The funny thing is Respawn made this. Yet everyone blames EA. Blame EA if MT's show up in the game, or if it releases with 10 special editions, or has an overly expensive season pass. But EA isn't sitting here making the game. That's Respawn. Does a...
To be fair, the prequel trilogy had quite a bit to do with people's idea of Jedi being super heroes. They made the lightsaber battles way too big and flashy with too much spinning and twirling of the blades. The Darth Maul fight made sense because he was fighting two Jedi at once and that's how you fight with a staff. But Obi Wan and Qui Gon were not twirling and flipping their lightsabers in that fight.
But as soon as Anakin became a Knight it was all over. They we...
Literally nothing about the Combat looked like Shadow of Mordor...
Hey man, fair enough. And no I didn't think you in particular didn't like the 1st person approach. It was more of a general statement. I was mostly pointing out the "move" to 1st person in response to you. Only because I hadn't realized they originally said it would be 3rd person. So I guess I stand corrected lol.
Well yeah. There's no way around it. At the end of the day, as long as there is more than one company making/selling consoles then both of those companies will obviously want to be on top of sales. That's competition. Or "war" to put it another way.
Shut up
