This game quickly went from being one of my most anticipated games to barely even being on my radar. I can't think of another game that happened so quickly for.
You would think that after all the negative feedback from E3 that they would release some official gameplay to the public as soon as possible. But here we are, and they're still playing coy about what this game even is.
Something just doesn't feel right with this.
1. If anything this proves your comment wrong. The Switch is a console/handheld hybrid. For instance, I've had mine docked since I bought it. To me it's another console.
This is a handheld.
2. Why would "haters" call it a console? Wouldn't Switch owners want it to be a console? The ones calling it a handheld are generally the haters...
I totally agree. And to be honest, the old D&D games probably should have been turn based. I mean, who doesn't instantly pause the game and issue commands to their party as soon as enemies appear? In fact, those games have an auto-pause function you can turn on that pauses the game for you whenever enemies show up. Might as well make it turn-based...
So what? Rocksteady had another studio make it so they could focus on the main sequel at the time. It still clearly uses all of Rocksteady's mechanics, gameplay, and features.
Also, this isn't a Rocksteady Batman Collection. It's called the Batman Arkham Collection. Origins is a part of the story. It should be included.
For sure! Titanfall 2 is fantastic game with a really great single player campaign, even if it is a bit short. It hit me in the feels, for sure.
But again, TF2 was the first time TF was multiplatform, so a lot of people had no experience with it outside of Xbox One users. And on top of that they released it in between the releases of Battlefield 1 and CoD with no advertising, which is just suicide for a FPS franchise that is trying to make name for itself.
Titanfa 2's player count has been pretty bad for a long time, even on consoles. That game deserved so much more because it's great. But EA screwed them over by having it release between Battlefield and COD's releases that year. They also had next to no advertising for it. Not to mention it was the first time TF was going to be on anything other than Xbox, so it could have really used a better release with some actual advertising.
As for BF1? It's just not a ...
The funny thing is Battlefield games did used to have an offline bots mode. In Battlefield 2 you could play single player and it was just like playing a normal MP match except the enemies were AI.
There are tons of indie games on PSN. What are you even talking about?
Batman isn't overrated. Just over used.
It doesn't matter which one he's talking about, honestly. All of those that you mentioned (except Google since we don't really know yet) are helping the industry thrive simply by selling millions of consoles and games for their consoles.
So the millions of consoles and games sold by Nintendo and Microsoft aren't helping the video game industry thrive?
How could anyone with half a brain agree with that?
Yeah, this is a pretty dumb thing to say. Whether you want to admit it or not there are people out there that own Xboxes or Nintendos but not a PS4. There are also people that own multiple consoles or even all 3. That all adds to more money being spent on the video game industry as a whole.
So please explain how that isn't helping the industry thrive?
This is Darkest Dungeon. Which isn't a bad thing at all. But I'm not sure why they call this an "unorthodox" game when Dark Dungeon already did something identical to this.
But hey, I LOOOOOOVE Darkest Dungeon, so I'm interested to try this.
@ naruga
i don't agree with this. Xbox failed this gen because of their terrible launch announcement, lies, and lack of exclusives. Period. Xbox has never sold well in Japan but last gen they ALMOST beat Playstation and probably would have if they had just kept putting out exclusives during the last few years of the generation.
Well thats cool. Doom 3 was generally not liked by many, but i thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it didn't play like a normal Doom game.
"The reason you don't see my point is because you're missing it, entirely. No one is denying that there are mediocre games on every system, PS included. My point is, PS has games like TLOU and Uncharted, which are miles above and beyond anything the Xbox has in terms of story telling. When you're used to games like those that do it so well, it makes the mediocre ones seem even worse."
No, YOU are missing the point. You are talking like all PS owners fe...
Sorry, but you sound like a total douche.
I had a 360 and my roommate had a PS3. I loved Alan Wake. Speak for your own douchey self.
Yeah they can keep updating it. But they can only make the graphics and visuals look so much better without creating a new entry, and even with those updates it will quickly look like an outdated game.
I'm not saying they should do this now, or even in the first few years of the next gen consoles. But 4 or 5 years in they should definitely do it. By then it wouldn't really be splitting much of the player base. Not any more than any sequels do.
It doesn't have to be a bad thing. Not to mention its inevitable. When next gen consoles come out people are going to want a next gen Overwatch. You can't keep updating the same last gen game forever.
But the important part lies in how they do it. It's quite simple. All new maps with a few fan favorites. New characters but bring back some more fan favorites. Keep the game largely the same with maybe some new match types and mechanics. This is the type of game t...
Not really. As others have said, Cyberpu k released an almost hour long video of nothing but gameplay. That video is on YouTube and it's not bootleg. That was almost a whole year ago also, if I remember correctly. Maybe even longer?
Point is, when you release a trailer like Avengers, and instead of making people more excited it actually hurts people's excitement, you need to get something out in front of people to help bring their excitement/confidence back. And con...
