Whatever man. It's a tactical RPG and the Midnight Son's are rather obscure, and never had a huge roster anyway. Most of this roster are still more obscure. It's fine for them to include some popular characters to help draw in more fans.
Magik was never in the Midnight Son's either, but its awesome they are including her. Also, Dan Ketch was Ghost Rider in the Midnight Son's. Blaze helped form them though.
They had to include a few recognizable characters. Most gamers wouldn't recognize or care about most of these guys. Wolverine, Iron Man, Cap, and Dr Strange are fine though. And the Midnight Son's never had a huge roster anyways. So they had to add some more. I'm really glad most of the roster are more obscure characters though. I saw Magick, an X-Man and Colossus' sister, which is awesome to include her.

The sad truth is that unfortunately the gaming community HAS shown them we're into that crap by actually buying those MT's. These devs and publishers anxiously make a ton of money from them, otherwise they would have stopped this crap a decade ago. But they haven't.
You gotta remember this game takes place 20 years after Alien 3. Humans are well aware of Xenomorphs and what they are capable of by now. The marines are much more prepared for them this time around than when they basically walked in blind to the unknown in the movie. They had never encountered Xenomorphs in the movie and Ripley was the only surviving human that had ever seen one. The marines didn't even really take Ripley's descriptions seriously.

The game runs very well and it's a lot of fun to play with friends while being extremely faithful to the franchise.

I remember on PC it was the same thing. You put your potions on your belt, when they run out or you want to add more you go to your inventory and have to place them on your belt.

That's cool if you feel that way. I guess I'm just missing the part of what you would expect to be different. It's an online FPS. What exactly do you expect to change with the gameplay? Everything else is different. If you change the gameplay too much then it stops feeling like Battlefield.
For instance, they made changes to the gameplay for BF1 and BF5 and it suffered horribly for it.

The problem was that they never made it clear it would be a work in progress. They made it sound like all those promises would just be the game when it launched.
If they went your route, even on PS4 it would have been much better for them. Just make it clear that there was still a lot under development that would release over time.
