Don't you dare say X-Men should get the Avengers treatment. X-Men (and Avengers) deserved WAY better than that steaming pile of garbage Avengers game. Avengers should never have been a GAAS, and neither should X-Men.

Didn't they just put this thing back up on PS+ last week, plastered with warnings about the game's poor state? If you have to put warnings on your game in order to sell it on PS+ then how is it considered "satisfactory"?

The AI was absolute garbage. Your team mates did nothing to help. The werewolves just charged right at you, then turned around, ran away, then just charged at you again. It was loaded with quicktime events, and there was only 2 bosses, which you fought mid-game, and again at the end as the end boss, but it was the same exact fight.

It can't catch a break because of the choices that were made. And the devolopers nit being very good from what I can tell. But mistakes happen. The decisions are the worst offender.
Deciding to make it a GAAS model. Releasing a bare bones game with tons of glitches. Not fixing those glitches. Promisong new characters and only releasing two identical ones months and months after launch....while still not fixing the game's issues. The repetitive/boring combat system....

No it isn't. Not even close.
Its really crazy to think this game has been out for 7 months and its still in shambles. I've given up hope on playing this on PS4 and have accepted the fact that I may not play it until its PS5 version is out in 2023 or later.
The thing is, I don't think people want Battlefield to evolve. Aside from better graphics, new maps, and maybe some different match types. But for the most part, BF2-BF4 and the 2 Bad Company games are considered to be the best of franchise. If anything, BF1 and BF5 DE-volved from what those games were. At least as far as gameplay mechanics. And I think gameplay mechanics are what most people think of when talking about games evolving.
There are a lot of people that like the more classic/nostalgic game styles, and thats what this is. Its a more retro feel and callback to the original Metroid games. With updated graphics and newer gameplay of course.
It may not be for everyone, and if they were TRYING to make a game that was on par with the current generation's graphics and style then yes, this would be a failure. But they weren't. This is exactly what they werr going for, and its something a lot...

Having oxygen run out on you is just annoying. No Man's Sky had crap like that and it sucked really bad. Nothing worse than being in the middle of something then needing to stop so you can go perform maintenance on your environmental suit.

Fortnight only had 1 map for how long? A VERY long time. Also, BF isn't a one game mode game, or Battle Royale. It has multiple game modes and maps.

And as silly as this trailer was, its much more true to how an actual game of BF goes. People have this weird idea that BF games are like ultra realistic military games, but they aren't. Matches are silly and silly things happen in them.
There is. You can play on a server full of nothing but bots if you want. And you can also have a full multiplayer match that fills spots with bots until real people join also.
Yeah, I don't believe that a line would be out the store. Its still too hard to get stock. Each store probably only gets a few consoles at a time. So just put them out, don't advertise when they get stock in, and just let people pick them up. Its the most honest way to deal with scalpers too, because even they can't sit in a store for weeks on end waitint for a console to get put on a shelf.

Well, last gen people around here didn't want to admit whenever the Switch outsold the other consoles or anytime it broke records. The reason was because the Switch was technically Nintendo's "next gen console", so its sales didn't count against the PS4 or Xbone.
