-"But, I think just stating a definitive rule would end the discussion."

I follow that contention. The issue is this hasn't really been brought to attention despite their past reviews on here being scored as well, including an older submission by me in one instance (Below getting a 4.0/10). So there's a demand for a definitive rule on this discussion which is taking place in real time. And I'm not going to change my p...

@MasterCornholio

I think I know whom you're talking about and I will defer to his judgment regarding that; having said that, I don't think we'll ever have a case of a scored MetaCritic review that wouldn't have one displayed on their site as well--in some fashion or other. There's already a non-score section there as well so it wouldn't make sense for it otherwise.

I appreciate your diligence in taking me up on my offer of askin...

I'm genuinely interested in giving this site more oxygen on here. I'd never heard of them before I spotted them on OpenCritic. A lot of work has gone into their site.

-"Instead of us picking a lane, tell us a definitive guideline on if posting a meta score of unknown origin is within the guidelines of N4G? As a mod, certainly you and Chris can come to some rule on this. "

You're awkwardly extracting my 'pick a lane' response there. Understand: I made such a terse rebuttal b/c I'm trying to make him decide which argument we're trying to go for, not some mish-mash that confuses...

@Fluttershy77 & @IAmTylerDurden

Instead of acting as though I'm 'scouring high and low for the lowest Days Gone review score' I'm really just focusing on the most recent submissions. And if Playstation Mag UK had some provided clickouts I'd be pooling their most recent lot of reviews for here, but those are--currently--given no links for me to use. GameCritics was just the second most recent on there, as are some others I'm going to be submitti...

@MasterCornholio

Could I do that with any other review with a posted score on MetaCritic & GameRankings as well?

2600d ago 9 agree30 disagreeView comment

-There is no score.
-It doesn't matter if there's a posted score on other review aggregate sites.

Pick a lane.

A fair question. I initially spotted this on Gamerankings and then MetaCritic where said score has been posted.

But animation issues (regardless of severity) is one of the most generally accepted definitions of a 'software bug' so I'm not really following. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Yeah I don't know about this one. There's something about the micro-transactions stories, NetherRealm's history of keeping characters for DLC, etc. that's stopping me from getting it now. Hopefully a Gold Edition releases soon.

I mean...that's not really a bad investment deal on its face. Having a--relatively--low-key marketing push for a f2p Battle Royale game has the potential to really take off in today's market. Compare that with studios (Visceral & others) where you're probably talking millions just for health insurance, benefits, power, etc.

I'm not saying it's right in an ethical sense, but your comment seems to be disputing the supposed financial inconsistency/s...

"The other guy brought up free markets too, like that’s the canned response from offended book burners."

Alright. So, first, I simply come here to contend your radical jump from this content WARNING that'll be displayed. Now? I'm being uncritically lumped in with book burners because--apparently--bringing up the free market is how we supposedly operate in order to carry out our plans in the shadows...or something. How does book burning even come into this discussion? You're literally to purchase this game on the free market.

@Ultra

I would think so too, but I haven't heard much of a progress report on that stuff.

2623d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

For all intents and purposes, that was already accomplished with the Shrouded Spoils update last year. I'd pin the turnaround even sooner, but that expansion was the true catalyst according to others.

I appreciate it, Ultra. A part of me still feels like there's something missing but that's just b/c there's so many interesting design & story nuances to consider. Glad you came back around to it and enjoyed it as thoroughly as I did.

Eh...on one hand I get the idea of having this put into a movie or TV series. But just like with Firewatch, there's something lost in taking away the choices players make throughout the course of said game.
