It's a fairly similar case for the KOTOR games. My play on the 360 has been limited but smooth thus far. I've been told to save constantly so I anticipate it freezing a few times.
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. It certainly feels like an honor to review my fav. game of all time (teh bias :P), thus far. Feel free to leave any comments or questions in which you want me to dive deeper into explanation :).
That's one way to trample a site's opinion.
Either Bioware needs to update interface on a consistent basis or it need to allow player-made mods. I find the game to be fantastic, but the fact that there isn't any sort of damage meter is disappointing (atm). I know I'm a really good sentinel when it comes to dps, but I wish I had a graph showing that to the rest of the world.
He is, it seems that any SW fan that's a video game columnist hates to see any of their characters be whiners, regardless of whether or not that's a more fitting characterization of them (see Anikan in prequels and Luke in beginning of Ep IV). Although she counts as one of the darths, Kreia not getting her own metion is just shameful.
@ abash
"...you're just as much part of the problem on this site if that gave you a smirk."
I'm sorry that you feel I may be a problem.
"And Im sure your subtle smirk wouldnt be there if that was a comment about Microsoft..."
I must ask: don't you think making baseless assumptions-like the one you just made-are another part of the problem with this site?
If you must...
@ Abash
You just blew a subtle joke completely out of proportion, thus removing the smirk I had from reading Endoran's statement. How could you? :(
That's something else from PC Gamer. What fluffy said too, it's amazing thus far.
Nintendo and Obsidian just because they balance each other out. Ninty usually get a more comfortable dev. time (thus the polish), but don't worry too much about story/choice; Obsidian usually receives shorter dev times than the norm (at least when considering the titles they're pushing) but I argue have the best group of writers in the industry.
What? The fine print for Elite states you'll get the maps free. It never states who's getting them first.
It's not about it looking bad but more about the inconsistency. Overall, the game does look dated and just average when everything's said and done. I found the scale to be good in the open areas and I personally thought the artstyle was surprisingly meticulous; however, the flaws in details was something I couldn't ignore: poor explosions, below-average textures, etc .
In the end, the pro's and con's would've given it a 5 or 6 had it not been for t...
I caught whispers of how he was doing before the media picked it up and figured now would be the right time for a review ;).
Number 1 was the same thing I was thinking.
Damn, I'm fine all for posters making counter-arguments against reviews; but isn't sort of telling what kind of community we're coming off as if we start assaulting the reviewer in the means which some of you are doing?
I think the Season Pass idea can remain innocuous to most gamers if they're well informed of the future DLCs they'll be receiving by purchasing the season passes. When it will/should become a problem to the public-and fans-is when they're not sure if these future packs are for them. I don't have a problem with Forza 4's Pass (and I haven't played Saint's Row 3) because any online gamer who sees that knows they'll simply be getting more tracks and/or cars once...
I don't think anything in fine print stating 'You can't take class-action lawsuits against us over _________" should be considered a joke. Or are you talking about something else?
Would this be considered your Game of the Year, Stolensoul?
Looking at the date this news was posted, I'd say around 5 days worth of leveling (who knows how many hours). It's not like it's much different from power leveling in other MMO's. I'd it would take 7-9 to max on WoW when it first released.
Because they weren't expected to be good, thus not disappointing anyone.
1.) "That's because an MMO requires a developer to shift from a 'content' mindset () to a 'service' mindset ()."

Judging by the hints of new content already getting ready to roll out, I think their service mindset is quite exceptional. Plus you have to consider only one branch of Bioware's group of studios ...
