There's no way one of them isn't going to die.
More on topic, I certainly hope ND accomplishes this task. I'm hesitant to agree with what some consider 'bad storytelling' in video games b/c we're constantly ignoring entries that have done a solid job in that aspect, yet don't receive the appropriate attention.
You'll certainly deserve more than a 'congradualations' if you actually pull off 365 blogs throughout this entire year. Keep up the good work :D.
I really felt like leaving when I saw Medal of Honor and Battlefield 3. It's your choice but I don't understand scoff's at Black Ops' "mental torture", yet back up MoH by dedicating a sentence to the "beards" in the game?
"I remember when a 7 was considered a good score."
This 100%. I remember game ads that would include quotes from sites that gave it an 8!
Hmm...interesting to see that. I was kind of worried about the flow of that review b/c I constantly had to go back to TOR. You'd find it priceless how often I told myself "Okay, paragraph's done so I can jump back now" :P.
Though christheredhead won blog contest, your "Storytelling" blog was excellent. And I recommend those who haven't had a chance to read it to do so immediately.

I'd like to thank the top 10 users who voted for my review. Hope you guys enjoy my Jan. reviews :D. I'm surprised KOTOR won over my Homefront review; then again, I enjoy wearing my cynical hat when I can :P.
I'm curious to hear your countless complaints for every other MMO at release, WITH THE EXCEPTION to Rift (even then....).
Of course competition of Sony's caliber is needed, but I think still a term like "schadenfreude" isn't really the right word for most of the media's attention on the slow initial sales. I think it's more like shocking news that Sony's need to grab attention in Japan failed thanks to a few 3DS games releasing.
Correct if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure PSVita took up the most space at TGS. Much of our game media (I heard it on Invisible...
You expect us to believe about 2 years dev time has caused no changes to be made in the engine? Sorry, not a chance. It certainly doesn't look much different, but it's certainly not 'the same'.
I certainly can't disagree with that logic, but didn't Sony already fall when this gen was kicking into full gear? They can't fall any farther in the handheld market either, in regards to what place they might end up. PSP was overshadowed by DS, and now Ninty might join in by the looks of how the smartphone department has been going.
I hardly see how that's the case. You think the gaming media is having a sense of enjoyment over Sony's problems? This is the same gaming media in which half of them (or more) probably grew up with a PS1 initially-then later on purchasing a PS2.
I personally think it's just disappointment fueled by hits. Xbox detractors are constantly saying "Japan certainly knows their quality". Since the Vita's a great piece of hardware selling with a formida...
He's essentially trying to convince everyone that the title's mediocre, rather than terrible :P.
I might be interested to pick this up in the future. After being disappointed from 2011 shooters ranging from Brink, to Homefront, to MW3, and to Battlefield 3 I could really go for a FPS that doesn't disappoint. Resistance 3's MP is worth mentioning, but the whole game I found to be truly fresh.
"How the tables have turned."
That's not the correct way to term it. Going by your first sentence, that would mean Wii fanboys are now making fun of Sony and MS for being too casual. You sort of failed at delivering your own joke (unless you read this in time for an edit :P)
"When you have more casual Exclusive releases than Core Exclusive releases within a year.....Thats not a good sign for the core gamers and the direction of the console."
That's solely dependant on where your definition for exclusives ends. Is this counting solely retail? Or are you including arcade in this as well?
I think KOTOR II's a bit of an unsung hero. I personally only needed the workbench for upgrades, but now breaking down items for components caused me to keep coming back to effect the outcome of the Dantooine battle (since you needed so many parts/spikes). They refined more elements then certain sites seemed to give it credit.
Despite being saddened by the news (I'm Republic), I think it would be cool for that to have some long term effect if/when expansions, or even patches, come around. Perhaps Sith gain a better foothold on neutral planets of something of that nature.
I'd approve a Pong review if it were well written :).
Although I can't relate specifically to the XCOM news, I know it deserves more recognition than many n4g members have given it. Just because it was a PC classic you never played, doesn't mean you can't at least congradulate 'old school' PC gamers for having one title that could be exceptionally promising.
