From the video review:
"+ Classic CS"
"- Tough on Newbies"
Am I the only one that noticed this contradiction?
I would definitely love to pick it up in the future. Thanks for posting your experiences.
Your blog and bladefist's older blog on it make me quite envious. >:(
When it comes to KOTOR II, I'm not able to slam those obvious flaws so much simply because of the deep story, rich amounts of nuances to choice + gameplay system that offered more replay ability, and better music score.
I didn't run into a ton of bugs in the Xbox version either (replaying it atm and I'm to Dantooine).
That's not enough to withhold my excitement.
And if the hypothetical KOTOR 3 turned out to be arse and I followed the gamer matrix pic, my excuse will be that I like to live on the edge. 8)
I recall someone at Sony mentioning how new IPs are what keep the industry going (or something like that). It always a balancing act though. Sure, they'll incessantly pump out R+C titles but...there's that leniency for dev teams that they believe are capable of excelling beyond one staple IP per gen.
Why should I withhold my excitement for the excellent worlds/story/gameplay that could be created just because of the gaming industry.
Obsidian Entertainment Tiberius Tuttle.
Has a nice ring to it. :P
It's interesting to see the new direction they're taking with such a long-standing character as Lara Croft. I hope it turns out well.
@Writer (if he sees this):
I spotted two mistakes in what's quoted above.
I don't think -MD- was saying he'll wait until HD ports are made to (re)purchase KOTOR 1+2. I believe he meant that part to translate as "Repackage these to act as a supplement for the develop costs of KOTOR 3."
But they can't say portions of SWTOR aren't canon.
I don't want to go any more into detail because of spoilers. You may PM me if you'd like an explanation to my first sentence.
Despite the fact the title only mentions Sony, I believe it's unfair of you to not also bring up M$/Xbox and how sub-par their value is in comparison. I mean...it's clear Sony is simply being repetitive because the truth is repetitive.
I hope you soon see the error of your ways, Megaton. *Scoff* Perhaps you should add "of fanboyism" after your current username.
Technically, the 'Star Wars TOR: Revan' novel finished up both of those.
In the time you took to point out a slip-up in my report, you could have been fixing the egregious errors in your blog.
As happy as I may be at the idea, Lucasarts is what I worry about. It's come to the point that I'm hesitant to hear news of any future Star Wars game, or any other non-HD remake, until I catch wind of a mass exodus of all the suits plaguing that company.
Still a great point to bring up. Most of those in Bioware's community did complain in a way that was beneficial in a number of ways, charity being one of the shining examples.
However, the complaints didn't stop there:
-As mentioned in this blog, someone thought it may have been worth taxpayer dollars to examine the ending as false advertising.
-Briefly mentioned in my 'Episode I' blog, a lot decided to take their whining to ...
I'm curious to see how far this obsession with the letter 'Z' in game titles will go in the near future. :P
When looking at the impressive artstyle (even for a backdrop so shopworn as it) and these details about the game, it's sad for me to say I won't be able to dive this game any time soon. Look forward to possibly seeing your full review and/or further impressions on the title.
That sort of finale feels like it's butting heads with what you're trying to say. From my bird's eye view:
"If you were expecting *X brand*/,/ you will either be disappointed or pleasantly surprised BECAUSE *reviewed brand* offer so much more."
You see how the transition doesn't flow or have the bite it could?
I have a question about the conclusion in the quote box:
If Sleeping Dogs offers so much more than GTA, why would I be disappointed?
Can't argue against that logic, but that's not the point of my reply. You asked a question; I correctly answered it (given that you didn't disprove it).
I'm not saying the trite PSV doomed articles weren't stupid. But having your head up in the clouds pretending no one was previously saying "Vita has no games" is fallacious.
Sure, the score seems fair. I never had a problem with that.
I just don't understand why he wouldn't post a complaint similar to what you've stated instead of having a final positive/negative point that butt heads with each other. He brings up the steep difficulty curve but then goes on to say the try, try again system is what make CS the classic it is today.
