C'mon now, XBLA community! >:(
I do. In fact, I'm sometimes more tempted to jump back into the campaign after trying out all modes.
It's rather funny to see your post already showed a bit more depth than the guy's rant in the article on DA. XD
Thank you for updating on what I had previously heard for the 360 version.
It's within reason to question that portion, but he could simply be driving a point that (in his mind) "old school" to you or Robo ='s "archaic" to him.
Again, it's annoying to see him just give a vague-ish rant rather than going into detail explaining why this or that seems overrated. It's simply impossible for me to decipher what he means atm.
While he mentioned DA's 91 meta on PC, I personally couldn't discern if he played one of the console versions or the PC version. I haven't played the game, but I heard 360 version is pretty nasty in comparison to PC (vanilla).
The online portion is locked into every review. When the score is 0.0 it's basically telling you "SP-only, disregard this portion".
Given that his fun factor rating was a 2.0 (which I usually consider the most important portion), that seems to be what weighed it down.
Calling this game a WoW clone is an insult to logic.
"But it's Halo no one will complain."
Do people still pretend everyone shies away from criticizing this franchise?
Over 10 years have past. Perhaps they're comparing SOE's graphs with their's to see if the stress level has changed at all. :P
Perhaps they're actually graphing how much stress they can induce on players with these log in issues. That's the real test.
:P
They've dedicated an immense amount of time in creating a different universe. I think a bit of slack can be given to them retreading similar plot elements + archetypes that predate KOTOR by thousands of years.
Wish this new studio the best and hope all former employees from 38 and Big Huge have found appropriate jobs to feed their families.
I was actually on pending at the perfect moment for DragonKnight's to appear. I think I approved within...15-ish mins of when it was submitted. It wasn't until after I finished reading Dragon's and went back to pending and saw another one pop up: this blog.
I'm 99.9% sure the time difference is that Dragon copy/pasta'd his work directly from a MS Word document while Mac produced it under 'creating' and maybe came back to it here and there.
Regardless of your stance, it's interesting to see both sides of the coin back to back in this blog and DragonKnight's released a few hours earlier.
...archaic shooting elements and all.
Sorry, just had to say it.
XD
The only thing I'm angry about after reading the review is my hype on re-purchasing going up. I want to buy it now, but I have so many sp games to burn through in my back library!
Thanks, Dog. >:(
"Unforgivable plot holes" =/= multiple dues ex machinas that you believe were out of place. The routine escapes Drake (and co) pulled in 3 have been used quite often in stories.
Haha, happy to see I can cause discussion like that. XD
I'll have to borrow a fitting quote by Thomas Jefferson for my official stance on the term "luck," and me being made of it:
"I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it."
That's one of the worst assertions I've seen stated on here.
I agree that this year's SOA isn't doing well, but let's wait and see if Dust: Elysian Tail performs up to the level of a Bastion or Limbo when it's released.
". . .to say the developers should get consideration for their effort, as this review allude's to is moot, as most developers work hard and put forth great effort's. . ."
Yeah, I never like when reviews have to bring up the current aggregate score within the review itse...
