Because its not a new game. Its a mistake that they (possibly) chose to remake a game that came out earlier this year. How many people who own a wii u (largely hardcore nintendo fans) dont already own the 3ds version.
I would rather see the team making this make a different game or even port the first one on to the eshop, at least that game is old enough to warrant a re-release, and its sales would hopefully get other gamecube games on the VC.
i hope it will have more levels per world then.
but to be fair returns had some repeated themes with worlds, like there were basically 2 jungle levels, one was just more dense than the other.
i just dont care to be honest. i would rather see the manpower go to getting games out faster and ensuring no more delays to upcoming games, or making new games entirely. it probably won't sell well considering how well the game sold on 3ds, i cant see myself shelling out another 40+ bucks to play a game i played so recently.
edit: even the release date seems off! 6 days after the christmas rush? if i were them, and if this is even real, i would at least push it to a bit before c...

"The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (WiiU) 78,079"
yeah it sold nearly 80,000 in US, which is pretty impressive, and thats probably not counting the bundles sold.
japan doesnt buy hd remakes anyway, and this game was never a big seller from the beginning.
The game isnt due until 2014! You cant expect them to say much about the game potentially a year before it releases. Thats standard for any developer, including nintendo. Even the usual franchises coming 2014 arent getting much news.
Sonic is out in a few weeks and mario in a little over a month, of course theyre hyping them up.
The wii u version has quick inventory management (that game has a lot of it too) but the framerate is slightly worse than the other version. Game itself is pretty good.
wow those zelda numbers are pretty great!
yeah square enix really should have dropped the game before it was too late, by the 3rd 13 game people have realized how bad they are and with next gen coming people arent willing to drop 60 bucks for another final fantasy 13 :l
There are plenty of games with great online though! Need for speed u, cod, trine 2 ALL work just as well as the other systems, those devs just put the time in whereas these guys of consistently NOT.
something to look forward to when you play this part ;)
No, its just hard to judge the systems potential lifetime sales when it has sold the way it has because there ARE no games.
Now that games are coming, is when we really see how many people will get a wii u.
It was doing bad without games, by 2014 it will have plenty of games.
Definitely get the zelda one, that zelda 3ds goes for like 400 bucks in box after a year of being OOP
I am looking forward to nintendos choices for wii u. When theyre cornered theyve produced some great content, in my opinion the gamecube is the best system they made since the snes, and i feel like a lot of choices made in the gamecube era were consumer based. its like they addresed criticisms like "no 3rd party (capcom deals, geist, eternal darkness, mgs, a lot of sega games, a lot of multiplats) and opened/bought western studios like retro.
With a decent amount of 3rd party ex...
Ps2s launch record was beaten by wii first
Vita has always had respect, just not sales.
Unfortunately its really not.
Im not surprised at the sales, windwaker is one of the worst selling 3d zeldas, if not the worst, and its also an hd remake, which japan doesnt buy.
Does that work well? I always heard that but i imagine it still leaves an irritating mark
While this shouldnt exactly be a bullet point on a box, its good that MS is trying to reiterate this, im sure many casuals are unaware of the reversal.
