Their finances depend on BOTH systems, which is why both of them have system selling games coming.
And the vita is a very different handheld, with a much smaller market. They havent been afraid of the vita since its announcement, and i doubt now is when they see it as a threat (with 3ds sales outselling it more than ever).
And i really dont think theres any "hype effect" you speak of. These are 2 measly colors just to help snuff the release of a new vita model.

Or a console exclusive for wii u. Look at the 360 game, frontier. Even that game sold modest. It really speaks volumes about japan's monster hunter obsession when they'll flock to the 360 to play it...

It was Yamauchi's choice to appoint Iwata. It was also his choice to resign because he felt unfit to continue leading Nintendo. Yamauichi was never a gamer, always a business man. In his perspective Iwata is probably perfect for the job. Iwata rose Yamauchi's Gamecube failure to profitability, and then released the Wii and DS which rose stock to record prices and proved more lucratice than anything in the company's past. the 3ds looks to be on the same road to success.

Yeah, i personally disagree but that's your opinion. That still doesn't explain why you want them to "go the sega route". If you don't like their games why would you want them to be on even more systems?
well no more heroes 1 and 2, madworld, xenoblade, last story,resident evil darkside chronicles, dead space extraction, silent hill shattered memories, fatal frame 4, metroid prime trilogy, zack and wiki, house of the dead overkill, okami, and arguably the best nintendo first party line up since the snes.
question, why do you want nintendo to go the sega route if you don't like their games in the first place? i dont see how the almighty ps4 can make games you just plain do...
simply put, you're not looking hard enough. i consider the wii and gamecube both to be lacking in games and i have 25 apiece for both of them. and thats not even a complete collection for either...
The vitas colors? Im not sure theyve announced yet, i imagine white and black as per usual. I wish sony would get more adventurous with the vita colors or release special editions, its a surefire tactic.
