Alan Wake. It was shown in 2005 and ended up in development for 6 years. Long delayed, PC less, average jog a thon through murky boring forests. PC version came out 2 years later but the premise was long before watered down for 360.

Spencer probably DOES know exactly what the Wii U specs are. A whole raft of thousands of external developers must do, ones working on games for the machine right now only a few months from going gold. They are most likely subject to an NDA meaning they cant really tell the public and let it out but someone in his position will have a bazillion contacts around the industry in studios working on the machine to get inside info.

It doesn't tell us a whole much about the machine's GPU performance anyway and its a rumour and list i have seen before here.

I find a balance is best. If you take the view that mobile gaming is only a supplementary method of gaming then i am pretty satisfied with my mobile games.
Honestly sat waiting for something while playing GTA3 or Nova3 on my SGS3....its great. GTA3 in 720p is just epic to be playing on a phone- that is a proper full experience console game in HD! The controls are not perfect but they good enough to enjoy the experience.

1080p is noticeable for me in my living room. I also want 1080p standard too because it would help Pc games out and improve their standards. Assets and art built for a higher resolution. Ports to Pc would be better
There are more than basic one system benefits to moving to 1080p. 720p is ok but to cover more bases or situations 1080p is what you really want and if it stops there and thats the maximum then so be it.
